Christmas is generally a "traditional" time of year but sometimes old style themes are quite lost on today's children. Every year we put snowflakes on the windows and my mother puts up her fake fireplace. Yet my children have no concept of snow at Christmas time and none of our houses has ever had a fireplace (not a real one at least).
