Introduction & Valentine Heart Candle Holder Project

February 1, 2011 by SandraW

Smiley face candleHello there. I was the candle making editor here a couple years ago and it’s good to be back!

I enjoy researching and experimenting with what’s new in candle making, and if I don’t know what I’m doing, I’ll figure it out. It makes it more exciting when I get to share my latest candle finds and adventures with you.

Creating your own candles is fun, therapeutic and they make wonderful gifts. It’s something you need to experiment with to get the hang of, but it’s fairly easy. If you’re really into candle making, you can even make some money at it.

Heart CandleThis simple valentine candle holder was made by filling the holder with acrylic hearts and placing a tea light on  top. I finished it off with a cute ribbon involving hearts and peace signs. 🙂

I’ll share a few valentine candle projects this month, so if you’re looking for ideas, check it out. On the other hand, if you have fun ideas, let us know!

Etsy Spotlight: Whole Store Bundle – Sewing Patterns

Okay, sewing friends… this one’s a total dream come true! If you’re anything like me and you love the thrill of planning your next sewing project before you’ve even finished the current one, then you’re going to fall head over heels for this Whole Store Bundle of sewing patterns. ?

This incredible bundle includes all the patterns from the shop – and it’s packed with flattering, wearable designs for every season, occasion, and mood. From breezy summer dresses to elegant staples you can layer up in cooler weather, this collection covers everything.

Here’s why I’m extra excited about this:

It’s an amazing value – seriously, the cost of just a few patterns gives you access to the whole lot.

Perfect for a capsule wardrobe – you can mix and match these pieces endlessly, customizing fabrics and lengths to your personal style.

Great for upcycling too – imagine giving old curtains, tablecloths, or thrifted fabric a whole new life as a chic handmade outfit!

Whether you’re just getting into garment sewing or you’ve been stitching up your own wardrobe for years, this bundle is a total win. And let’s be honest… there’s nothing better than saying, “Thanks! I made it myself.”
