I was hanging out at Outdoor Candle Lanterns and had no clue there were so many different candle lantern options. I like the idea of using battery operated candles in some of the lanterns, especially if they’re paper.
You can also go for glass, metal, nylon and even silk. I love the ambiance candle lanterns create. When you have a few multi-colored lanterns hanging in a row it really livens things up.
Shown here is a silk lantern from the Paper Lantern Store. It’s called Maeve with Feng Shui Shang-Hai Tan Lamp, inspired by Vietnamese artisans and meant to bring luck.
Another gorgeous lantern I found was a floating water lotus light. You can float these waterproof lanterns in your pool, pond or display them in pretty glass containers.
If you would like to try making your own floating lantern I found an excellent article that gives you step by step instructions. (How to make your own homemade paper floating lantern)
