3 Ways to Use Distress Crayons on a Butterfly Card
I love Tim Holtz’s products, he creates so many unique paper crafting items from pattern papers, ephemera bits, stamps, inks, sprays, dies, coloring mediums and so much more. They are perfect for creating mixed media and rustic designs for handmade greeting cards, home decor, scrapbooking, collage art and so much more. Caly used a new kit from Simon Says Stamp to make this beautiful butterfly card. The kit includes some of Tim’s Distress Crayons which she used 3 different ways on a single card. She first rubbed a crayon directly onto small butterfly and sentiment stamps, spritzing them with water and then stamping onto pattern paper for an amazing background. She also added an aged look to the edges of the paper by rubbing the crayon and buffing it. Lastly she stamped her large butterfly and colored it with a mix of crayon and water. The results of all these different techniques is simple stunning!
She’s sharing a video tutorial over on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
