DIY Glittered Champagne Bottles

August 23, 2013 by Shellie Wilson

Well if you have ever been to one of my parties you will know I have a thing for themes. The reason I love themes is it gives me direction and prevents me from going crazy with different (Pinterest) ideas.  Recently I styled a Hens night for a friend and it would have been great to cover up the labels of the Champagne bottles to bring them into the color scheme. Especially if you are using  cheap affordable Champagne. Obviously, we bought the best so covering the label was not required (wink wink). The link   for the picture above from 100layercake does not have a  tutorial but some white craft glue a whole lot of glitter and some more glue to seal it would make these a very easy DIY project. Have you made them? Share your tips here?

Here are a few online tried and tested tutorials.

iworeyogapants.com – Love the name of this site. Step by step tutorial.

stilettosanddiapers.com – This tutorial is less messy as it uses Krylon paint and not actual glitter.

DIY Shirt Extender – Sewing Pattern

I like having a little extra coverage when I wear leggings, but I could never find a cute top that was just the right length. So I decided to make this Easy Sew Shirt Extender! This is so simple to sew and is an easy sewing project for beginners. It is easy to layer under your shirt or top of choice and I added some lace trim to mine for a fancier look. You can mix and match colors and fabrics to suit your needs!
