While wandering the Renegade Craft fair last month I looked for glass. Amazingly there wasn’t that much. I did find some fabulous fused glass by Scarlett Glass. I just love the work of this mother/daughter team. The above picture is of Sunny’s work, the daughter. Such simple, beautiful fused pieces. Elegant. Perfect. Sunny creates pendants and belt buckles and cuff links out of her Brooklyn studio. It’s cool that she makes things for both men and women. There’s so much glass geared only to women.
Sally, Sunny’s mom works out of her Edinboro, Pennsylvania experimenting with pot melts and other ways to mix up glass. I just love her results.
