I’ve never really used the markers or pastels, but I only ever use Pentel Ballpoint Pens…they just flow so nicely. Sounds lame, but they are way better than BIC or any other brand of pen.

I have enjoyed using Pentel products for many years, first as a pen and ink doodler and then as a scrap booking and altered book/journaling enthusiast. There are very few products that have kept my customer loyalty for so long, but Pentel is one of them. While other pens may have failed me, Pentel always lived up to its excellent reputation. Admittedly I am a pen addict too – there is something so wonderful about the process of creating with beautiful tools…ah, as you can see I could go on and on! When I was in elementary school and we had to do a special project, I remember we brought out the yellow case filled with 24 brilliant colored markers. Those were my special markers mom kept up high. I loved those markers and recently found my case. After 20 years, they still had some life and now seeing my son use them is pretty rad.

Pentel was the “new kid on the block” when I was in Junior High. I remember going to Winn’s five and dime and buying my first Pentel felt-tipped pen. I love the smooth glide of the pen on my notebook paper. Soon I was back at Winn’s to buy blue, red and green ones. I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ve probably owned every Pentel product available for home consumption that is and was available in the US. When I needed water colors for my Brownie Girl Scout troop, it was Pentel to the rescue. The same with oil pastels, pens and markers for my children’s classes. Pentel is a quality brand that has never let me and my family down.

Really love pental products! I use the markers alot on my mixed media on canvas projects. And the Pental Hybrid Tech Pens are the best! As a pen and ink artist I use them quite a bit; and buy them a dozen to two dozen at a time! The oil pastels blend well with turpenoid and are very rich with pigment! Thanks for your great products!

When I was a kid, I got a Pentel set of markers in this enormous metal tin. I LOVED those markers and nursed them through tons of artwork. Pentel brings back really nice memories.

As an artist working in acrylics, I use the pens to outline. I also use them for shading – draw on the canvas, wet my brush and draw the color out – beautiful! They add definition AND shade! Can’t beat that.

Pentel products remind me of Germany. Sounds funny I know, but one of my favorite pastimes there was to visit the shops that were exclusively for pens, pencils and paper. Not a stationary shop, but more of an artist’s haven without canvas and paint. The colors are vivid like I remember.

I love Pentel pens, often instead of printing recipes or instructions from a website I will write it down in a notebook. I’ve been a math tutor for many years, so I am most familiar with Pentel’s fabulous mechanical pencils. I love the assortment of lead thicknesses as I constantly break off the “normal” .5 lead that most companies use. So I ususally buy .7 or.9 Pentel leads and their replacement lo-o-o-ong erasers. Can’t say enough about their products.

my mother passed away 2 years ago of breast cancer. we are still going through her things. my sons found a box of her art supplies and in it was 3 boxes of pentel oil pastels. she wrote her name on one and my 2 sons names were on the others. i dont know when she bought them but they were so happy that their tutu (grandma) was still buying them things. mahalo for allowing me to share that memory.
