    I hope this counts. I love the cookbook Hello Cupcake by Karen Tack. There are so many awesome ideas for making toppers out of candies and cereal and other foods. It really inspires me when I’m decorating a cake or baked goods and spins off to making things out of found orcrepurposed items around the house!

    My favorite craft book (since I was a kid!) has been the big blue Reader’s Digest book of Crafts & Hobbies. There were so many interesting artforms covered, I was mesmerized … and then there they were showing me how I could do them. Totally impacted me! Great question!

    My favorite book in my library is The Michael’s Book of Arts and Crafts. My library is huge so that I can adapt some of them to the levels of abilities for special needs children. All have different abilities and understanding. Crafts bring smiles, pride and “see I can do” attitude for each of the kids.

    I love the Reader’s Digest Complete Guide to Needlework. It has the basic instructions for most crafts and is great for when i’m a little rusty and need a reminder. The instructions are clear and easy to understand.

    All time favorite craft book….that’s tough…but if pressed I would have to say The Illustrated Hassle-Free Make your own Clothes Book. It was my introduction to sewing…all of the basic shapes and styles are there. The fact that it was written by hippies in the 60′s make it even better.

    Ooo, that’s a toughie. I’ve got some great knitting and cake decorating books, and I’m sure Stephen Caney’s Playbook instilled a love of crafts in me back in the 70s.

    But I guess I’ll go with the one I refer to most often and the one that started me on cake decorating: Carol Decon’s “Quick and Easy Novelty Cakes”.

    I have several but my favorite for inspiration and how to do it right is Redoute Flowers in Embroidery, anything by Helen Stevens and Jo Ippolito’s Needlepoint Stitches. Oh and Doodle Stitching!

    My favorite book would have to be by Alli Bartkowski’s, “Paper Quilling for the First Time.” I recently became interested in quilling, and it is a fun, stress free, mess free, and creative way to craft. Plus you can add quilled details to almost ANYTHING!

    My favorite book is about knitting/crocheting sweaters for the whole family. I can’t remember the name right now and I’m not able to get into the cabinet where I keep my patterns/books.     Goodness – too hard to decide. I can’t play favourites. I love all my craft books. If i had to choose it would be the Ehrmann needlepoint book which muct be over 20 years old and full of beautiful needlepoint designs by Kaffe Fassett and other wonderfully talented designers.

    Years ago there was a major book store going out of business. I went to the craft section & found a Michael’s craft how to book. That book has everything in it! I have actualy folded over the corners of my favorite projects! I haven’t really found another book likie that one. Just love it!

    I love The Big Ass Book of Crafts, and anything Martha Stewart. Too bad you don’t have a book of all the tutes you give us because I would deffinately buy that!

    My favorite craft book is the Polymer Clay Cookbook. The one with all the cute little foodie polyclay tutorials! Love, love, love it!

    Right now, most of my crafting is done with the children I work with. This month it’s been “Friendship Bracelets” by: Camilla Gryski and we often pick out things from my copies of Martha Stewart Kids (which is no longer published *sad face*) I also have a few crafty books from the 50′s and onward.

    Oh, I know it might be cliche, but my grandma bought me a Martha Stewart craft book when I was a pre-teen. It’s special to me because we did a lot of the crafts inside together!

    My Favorite craft book is The Crocheted Prayer Shawl by Janet Bristow and Victoria A. Cole-Galo. 37 great crochet patterns for shawls – plus an infinite possibility of variations. Craft books are an important part of my library – I am a reader, and love to read new ideas!

    There are really so many great craft books out there, but one of my favorites is 601 Great Scrapbook Ideas. I can utilize the ideas on so much more than just scrapbook pages.

    Oh, You Beautiful Doll! The Doll Book of High Fashion. This book is inspirational to me. Alot of ideas have accumulated from this wonderful book!

    My grandmother had a series of craft books from Better Homes and Gardens, which she bought in the early 70′s. They were all on different forms of needlework. They are still my favorites!

    I would have to say “MAKING STUFF
    AN ALTERNATIVE CRAFT BOOK” looks pretty good, but all 8 would be even better.
