Started as an idea in 2007 to help the burgeoning craft/DIY industry to have an outlet for the latest projects, ideas, techniques and tools, CraftGossip was and still remains the number one site for curated content that is picked, reviewed and edited by our team of editors on a daily basis. Since 2007, our daily newsletter has been the source of inspiration for 1000s of crafters and creators alike.
History
CraftGossip was created by Shellie Wilson and Vikram Goyal. Having already successfully created Craftbits.com with her mum Rita Wilson, Shellie was being bombarded with requests from craft companies to feature and use their latest and greatest projects and ideas on the site. It was then that she decided to diversify and create a second separate site devoted to reviews from not just the big companies but all independent creators as well.
Today
Today, CraftGossip has been featured as a success story in TechCrunch, HuffPost, Woman’s Magazines, Martha Stewart and countless others. Our current and past editorial team spans the who’s who of the craft world, including Vicki Howell (knitting), Jennifer Perkins (Craft Artists), Meaghan Mountford (Edible Crafts), Anne Weaver (Sewing), Francine Clouden (Scrapbooking), Stefanie Girard (current recycled crafts) and Sarah White (current knitting, lesson plans and cross-stitch).
Team
Shellie Wilson is the chief editor and COO. Vikram Goyal is the CTO. Read about our editorial team here.
