They are in search of the most obsessive and devoted crafters, who consider crafting not a hobby but a way of life. They are interested in solo crafters as well as groups of crafters of all specialties from needlepoint to decoupage…nothing is off limits, the more insane and extreme, the better! If you own more fabric then the local fabric store and you have glitter shooting out of your ears, they want you! Tell them your story. Nothing is too shocking!

Ugh, no more realty shows. Being called crazy, obsessed or a hoarder? People just say no.
I think it’s a great idea. It’ll make the rest of us feel better about our comparatively smaller stashes!
I was just thinking yesterday that I might be willing to do one of these shows so that other mothers could feel better about themselves at my expense. Coincidence or a sign?
I know that it is funny to exaggerate your craftiness and to jokingly say that your obsessed or a hoarder, but the reality of it is, if there are real craft-hoarders out there, it is a sad, sad thing.
My grandmother, before going into the nursing home, was a craft-hoarder. It took over every room in her house from floor to ceiling and when she went into the nursing home some was thrown out but the rest was put into storage. Thousands of dollars of “stuff” that was unopened, unused or duplicated is sitting in that storage locker.
Now we as her family have to try and figure out what to do with it. And to deal with the mental/emotional/physical price of her obsession.
To Nicole about grandmother’s stash.. I recently lost my grandmother and used her clothing to create memeorial wall hangings for the whole family… crazy quilt style…
what you have in those boxes is Love…the love your grandmother have or crafting. If no one in your family can use those boxes find a group or many individuals to donate it to… or just send it to me… LOL
As a crafter myself with a different craft set up in almost every room in the home I live in, I too could be apply for the show and though I don’t watch or care for reality TV I might catch a peek at this one from time to time… if I still had cable!
I gave it up for crafting!! :O)

I don’t like reality shows but I do have to say I would give this one a try. They prob would have it on a channel that I don’t get so I would be wondering if it was a good show. I did watch one show (will be nice) and seen how my crafting and house was getting out of control. It helped me to think before buying because that show would start playing in my head!
P.s Garage sales if you want to try to get some money from it. I know people who look for craft yard sales because they are few and far in between. Donating to schools, shelters etc… are also great ideas. If you notice on the hoarding shows people usually go through an ordeal that messes with their minds. I could have easily gone to that length if it wasn’t for family and being embarrassed when friends came over. I totally understand both sides. I hope everything works out Nichol.
I agree with ‘but why’s comment, why can’t they just do a show on talented crafters and artist, not the obsessed, hourder types, I would be in that….I’m a figurative artist from Australia.
Is it sad that the thing that bothers me most is the fact that they use the word, “then” when they should use, “than”?
I agree, i would love a show about crafts and not obssessive crafters / hoarders etc. Why can’t we be seen to be normal just as much as anyone who likes football, cookery, gardening etc. I find in the UK we are seen to be a bit “odd”, when in fact we are just doing what we love.
