I want to win this because I have a major obsession with all things Hello Kitty that comes complete with a near uncontrollable urge to hoard everything with her image, plus my birthday is next month. 🙂

My youngest daughter is the stereotypical younger daughter and NEVER gets anything new. She is 9 now, and we are just redoing her sister’s hand me down room for her. One thing she has loved all her own, since she was 3 is Hello Kitty. If we won this, we would make an amazing bunting for her new room 🙂

My baby LOVES anything with cats; works out fine for me since I love cats too, and who better to represent this love than Hello Kitty, a little girl dressed as a cat?

I have been a fan of Kitty for many years. I often make little dresses or other items for our toddlers at church. The 2-3 yr olds are the most fun to dress, whether frilly or casual slant. Having a bit of fun fabric will make this even better!

To celebrate Hello Kitty’s Japanese heritage and show how I STILL love her even as a grown woman (and I love these cute fabrics!) …..here is my haiku poem in 5-7-5 syllables. 🙂

Sweet, kind and she’s so pretty
    Soft velvet white fur . . .
    Her name is Hello Kitty.

Well, I’m not sure how creative this answer is, but I know exactly what I would do with this. I have a friend who is in a nursing home with polymiositis, and she is crazy for Hello Kitty. I’ll make her a quilt!

I love Hello Kitty, and always have – it is something I have in common with my mum, who, while living in Hong Kong, adored Hello Kitty in the 70s when she was still brand new. Now, both of us love seeing things with her on, and I expect I could sew some lovely things for my mum (and for myself!) with one of our favourite characters on it 🙂

  11. Catalina says

    September 12, 2016 at 3:04 am

I hope this doesn’t double-post, my first reply failed!

My mum and I both adore Hello Kitty. When she was young, she lived in Hong Kong, and would always go to a Sanrio shop while my grandmother went shopping. Hello Kitty was brand new at the time! If I had these fabrics I could make something nice for her using one of our favourite characters 🙂

I would like to win this in order to help my mother and other people with cancer put a smile on their face. Hello Kitty is one of those childish figures that everyone smiles when they see. When my mom was taking chemotherapy treatments, she needed all the smiles she could get. I would use this fabric to make head scarves to take to the Cancer a Treatment a Center and help put a smile on the patients faces. Thank you.

My first purse was a tiny red leather Hello Kitty little bag. I was 3 years old when I got it, and I still love it. 35 years ago, Hello Kitty wasn’t known here and I got it from my godmother who had travelled to Japan. Now, I’m the happy mother of a six weeks old little girl and, after two big boys, I look forward to cover her from head to toes in kawaii fabrics and lovely patterns. This is why I’d love to win this bundle !!

  37. Maria says

    September 14, 2016 at 6:56 pm

Hello Kitty has been important to me twice. First as a kid -the little goodies that featured Hello Kitty were the first items I bought “with my own money” I earned- so she represents independence, goals and success.

She then came back in my life when I was in a “rebuilding phase” after a loss and nothing puts a smile on your face than that cute Hello Kitty on everything around you.

  38. Emily says

    September 14, 2016 at 6:57 pm

I would use the fabric to create fun, silly and useful things that will make me and guests to my house giggle as well as when I share them on social media so I can bring enjoyment to others who love that cute Hello Kitty face.

I fainted at the sight of them, chipped my tooth on the dog’s water bowl that spilled onto the floor, leaked onto my laundry, that mildewed, caused mold, and took over my house, forcing me to live in a tree. Don’t you think I deserve the fabulous Hello Kitty fabric?

I am feline owned by 2 adorable boys (see my avatar) and have a serious cat love. My tuxedo loves to roll around in my scraps and help me sew. I recently have 2 great nieces under 2 yrs old and these fabrics would go a long way towards making them quilts to pay homage and share in their auntie’s feline love.

No time like the present to get their kitty obsession started. 🙂

I have 2 great nieces born in 2015 and these precious kitty themed fabrics would go a long way to make them quilts and allow them to share in their auntie’s kitty obsession. No time like the present to get these two started in kitty love.

After 8 boys we are finally expecting a baby girl. I have collected hello Kitty odds n ends since I was a little girl. I have been making a special baby quilt for each of our little blessings to snuggle with at birth. I have been faced with a challenge this pregnancy. We are moving in a week, got a finding of possible defects in ultrasound and we are determined to stay positive and hopefully all will work out for the best. We are so very blessed in many ways that I just know things are going to turn out well. However I have been unable to afford the hello Kitty fabric for a baby quilt. I have only been able to get one small piece of pink fleece. This would be perfect for our little “Elilyana Dawn” (answered prayer) and it would be well loved and cared for.
