Wool Roving Macrame Hanging

This DIY tutorial is for a colorful wool roving. We made ours in less than 30 mins. For this DIY macrame tutorial, you will need wool roving.  We chose three shades of blue for our project as it was going in a an Ocean themed bedroom.

You will need approx 30 mtrs of roving, in 3 metre lengths.

We used a stick from the garden as our main hanger.

You may wish to draw out the design on paper, but we just chose our design as we went.

Start by tying your main strands to the stick by using a slip knot. We did this all the way along. Then we alternated our tying designs as shown above in the photo.

 

Be careful when tying your knots as you need to gently EASE the knot into place.
