Wing earrings

October 5, 2009 by Minnie

wings-cicadaCicadas are horrible creatures, once, one flew up and hit me in the face and it was supremely horrible and I am emotionally scarred for life. It hit my face with a big wet THUNK. EW!

But their wings are certainly pretty and sometimes it’s nice to hear cicadas chirping at night while you are all curled up and cozy with some popcorn and hot chocolate but then you have to get up to see the baby raccoons getting into the garbage because they are so cute and you stand huddled in your bathrobe looking up at the moon for a few minutes.

These cicada wing earrings made by Studio Swoon on Etsy are pretty too.
