Sometimes the best party ideas are actually the simplest. I am not sure how everyone feels about using a kids toy (water bomb balloons) and vodka in the same bowl, but I think it sits OK with me. Asubtlerevelry.com shares this fun idea for a fun Summer Party Hack simply freeze water into balloons to use for ice. Obviously you could switch out the vodka for soft drink or soda. I’m always tempted by the pretty velvets at the fabric store. So much texture! And the way the fibers catch the light! But sewing on velvet is trickier than you’d think. That nap that lends beautiful texture also likes to slip and crawl. That nap can also spell disaster if you cut a piece the wrong direction.
