Volcanic Ash Glass from Bullseye

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 30 years since the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. Time flies. The first blast was May 18th and most of the volcanic ash blew to the east. On May 25th there was a smaller blast and that combined with shifting winds brought ash over to the Portland area, just 50 miles away. Bullseye Glass, only 6 years old at the time, took advantage of the situation and with their chemists worked towards creating glass with this volcanic ash.
