One of the three current shows over at the Corning Museum of Glass is Voices of Contemporary Glass. It’s a glass collection that was donated to the museum by Ben W. Heineman, Sr. and his wife Natalie. It’s one of the finest collections of studio glass in the Untied States. Definitely an exhibit to go visit the next time you’re heading over to Corning. You are going to Corning sometime soon, right? It’s all about glass and if you’re reading this blog you must love glass, right? Go to Corning!
Now about this exhibit…if you can’t actually go to Corning click through the page and check out the artists in the collection. The work is diverse and inspiring. Blown, fused, cast, cold-worked…so varied. It’s amazing how many different pieces people can come up with utilizing the same materials and basic techniques.
