I contacted Hobby Lobby, by email,to let them know that the paint-by-number kit I had purchased was dried out. I just wanted to let them know so they could check the rest of the kits. I was so surprised when I received a phone call for the store manager the next day offering a replacement. I still think the kit is too advanced for my daughter, but am impressed with Hobby Lobby and their quick action to right this mishap.

3 Ways to Use Distress Crayons on a Butterfly Card
I love Tim Holtz’s products, he creates so many unique paper crafting items from pattern papers, ephemera bits, stamps, inks, sprays, dies, coloring mediums and so much more. They are perfect for creating mixed media and rustic designs for handmade greeting cards, home decor, scrapbooking, collage art and so much more. Caly used a new kit from Simon Says Stamp to make this beautiful butterfly card. The kit includes some of Tim’s Distress Crayons which she used 3 different ways on a single card. She first rubbed a crayon directly onto small butterfly and sentiment stamps, spritzing them with water and then stamping onto pattern paper for an amazing background. She also added an aged look to the edges of the paper by rubbing the crayon and buffing it. Lastly she stamped her large butterfly and colored it with a mix of crayon and water. The results of all these different techniques is simple stunning!
She’s sharing a video tutorial over on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
