It’s Tutorial Saturday! Today I’m sharing a cool tutorial I found over at Double Helix Glassworks web site. They make all that wonderful silver glass bead makers love so much, myself included. The tutorial focuses on Triton and Psyche glass and is by Helen and Haley Tsang. It’s a simple tutorial that focuses on stringer techniques using reducing glass. Reducing glass has metal in the batch and when you change the flame from a neutral to reducing flame (less oxygen in the mix) you get a metallic finish. We love the metallic finish. Double Helix has a few tutorials for you to check out…and they are always experimenting with new batches of glass. Check it out. It’s good stuff!
