Trend: Color Combo

I love interesting and unexpected color combinations, ones that don’t sound like they would look good together but when you see them together they really work. One really hot color combo right now is yellow and grey, it’s popping up on fabrics, clothing and home decor and of course it’s a great color combination for stamping as well.

On this card I used different shades of yellow inks to stamp out the daisy petals and then stamped the centers in grey. Then using a clear embossing ink I stamped the petals over those images and heat embossed with a pearlized embossing powder to give some extra dimension and shine. Then I layered it on grey and yellow cardstocks.  Stamps and cardstock are from Close To My Heart.

I would love to see your take on this fun color combination, make a card with yellow and grey and post a link in the comment section so everyone can see your creation.
