Time to apply for Craftland!

August 4, 2009 by Minnie

craftland Hallo! I love RI! *waves like a fangirl* What’s sad is that I could have been there this summer lolling around on the beach staying in a beach house for free but instead we opted to go to Burning Man but then decided to NOT go to Burning Man and so now we are not going to either. Bugger! Can I say bugger here? I just did!

Craftland looks like a swell craft show and it lasts for a WHOLE MONTH (<– crazy awesome idea, eh?) in December. The even better thing is that you don’t have to be there during all that time. It’s set up like a store and so you just send them all your items and they display and sell them for you.

So no matter where you are you can apply to this juried show.

How to Make a Cozy Coffee Gift Card Holder

How to Make a Cozy Coffee Gift Card Holder

If you’re gift giving to a coffee lover give them a gift card to their favorite coffee shop in a handmade coffee themed gift card holder. Nicki created this delicious and cozy card with a rounded flap that has a die cut Cup of Joe and some tasty cookies.  For the cookies she die cut and dry embossed them, adding some white pigment ink for color and texture and glitter for sugar. I love how the bold red mug pops on the blue card base!

Inside on the flap is a pocket for the gift card and a sweet stamped and die cut sentiment.
