I found this cool tutorial from Bullseye Glass. It’s from the Steider Studio and the piece is created by Linda Steider. This is her blog. Looks like a good to follow for all you glass heads out there. This is a collaboration project with Linda and Tom Herrera, whose a scuptor Linda has worked with before. This is one of the panels for a metal sculpture Tom is creating.
Linda’s step by step process of how she created this panel is great. Easy to understand with nice pictures. I’m particularly fond of glass panels that are dammed so they can be made thicker and she illustrates a great method for securing the dams with kiln furniture. Love it. And the piece is lovely too. I’ll have to track down the finished project and post pictures.
