Sewing pattern: Scented mug mats

November 12, 2019 by Anne Weaver

Sewing tutorial: Scented mug mats

These scented mug mats would make great handmade Christmas gifts for friends, neighbors, and coworkers!  Spices or potpourri tucked between the layers of the mug mat will make a nice scent when you place a warm mug on it.  Patti from Hearth & Vine shows how you can make them.  You can sew them up quickly using charm squares.  (Or, raid your scrap stash and cut a bunch of 5″ squares to use!)
