Review/Giveaway NEVERknead Machine

December 16, 2014 by Shellie Wilson

NEVERknead-clay-polymer-review

When Neverknead contacted us about reviewing their products we were overwhelmed with joy.  You see there is a bit of a back story to why we needed this machine. Rita (my mother) started the Bottlesofhope.com Program  in Australia over 10 years ago.  With the exception of a few donations here and there she has been running the program on her own physically and financially. Night after Night she makes the bottles to be distributed to Cancer patients free of charge. She supplies quite a few hospitals, hospices and support centres with bottles all over Australia. Having to make 100-200 bottles in a month is an average expectation. However Rita is 66 years old has her own giant list of medical issues including Arthritis which means kneading clay is literally a pain.

This is what Rita from BottlesOfhope.com had to say. ” I wasted no time in putting it to the test. I was up until the early hours of the morning trying it out. I just couldn’t believe I had struggled for over 10 years. I have tried spaghetti machines to soften the clay and even upgraded to an electric one but by the end of the day my hands were in so much pain. Because of the financial costs we often use discounted (out of date) clay which is hard and crumbly.  The crumbling mess was a chore in it’s self to clean up. This machine just squeezed it all together. Wonderful! Love it! “

Let me clarify something, You DO NOT have to be old to need, want or desire this machine I mean it’s totally a life saver that speeds up crafting time and of course it comes in different colors so it’s uber stylish too.

Watch the videos on their website and be amazed.  $129 for gray or $159 for Stylish colors and you can even pick your own custom color too.

but wait there is more amazing news we have a machine to giveaway!

We are giving one very lucky Craftgossip reader the chance to get their hands on this awesome NEVERknead machine. For your chance to win simply tell us why you “knead” it. Comment below.

I knead this machine because I have been avoiding tubs and tubs of my clay that I have been collecting and never used because I dread kneading it!!! If I had this machine I could put my creativity to use and make beautiful things!

  15. jane d says

I really “knead” this, especially with my left hand in a cast since being in a rollover accident a few weeks ago!

    December 16, 2014 at 12:30 pm

Ugh, I loathe kneading clay!!!! I end up with tiny crumbles all over the floor and very tired hands. I definitely “knead” this machine, lol!

  17. Cindy Huntington says

    December 16, 2014 at 12:34 pm

I have arthritis on my fingers and have had 4 back surgeries !
This machine would decrease my time and pain when starting a new project !!the less. Sitting and kneading the less pain !! 😉

  18. Marilyn Buehler says

    December 16, 2014 at 12:43 pm

At 70 with the same arthritic issues, I would very much love love love to win a green NK, I would even pay the difference for the colour. Clay conditioning machines, even with motors, can be someone cumbersome when travelling back and forth to guild meetings, play days, etc. And also, just so ya know…. even if I don’t win one, I will buy one… Good luck to the Neverknead people who apparently are developing the next generation of polymer clay tools….. 20. Susan G says

    December 16, 2014 at 1:19 pm

I would love to be able to work with polymer clay again. This would enable me to do it. Thank you for the opportunity. Somebody will be a very lucky person!

  21. Judy Gault says

    December 16, 2014 at 1:38 pm

This sounds like a wonder tool for Polymer Clay! Even tho’ I have had surgery to correct carpal tunnel (in both hands), my hands are still painful after a clay session. I love working in this medium but I’m beginning to have to limit my time with it. The Neverknead machine would be a way for me to continue with my claying.

  22. Bonnie Rich says

    December 16, 2014 at 1:41 pm

I saw this on Polymer Clay Tutor and was amazed. I have psoriatic arthritis and this would save my fingers from a lot of pain. Most of my clay is “old” and it would make it usable again.

  23. Deborah says

    December 16, 2014 at 1:49 pm

I’m in my 50’s and really don’t want to stop claying but arthritis has become and issue. This would be SO helpful!

  24. Patricia Hamilton says

    December 16, 2014 at 2:08 pm

It’s not if your hands will start aching, just when. At almost 60, the arthritis is painful, though my hands are very active. This is a terrific invention. Bravo!

  25. cal8007 says

    December 16, 2014 at 2:14 pm

I just started playing with clay, but after a few tries at trying to soften it, I’ve given up. I too have arthritis and neuropathy on top of that so I would love to win this NeverKnead so I can get back to creating clay objects!! Thanks for the chance,

Oh I do need this machine, arthritis in my hands (as well as other joints) prevents me from crafting with the clay as much as I would like. Wonderful machine, I do love the colors!

    December 16, 2014 at 4:10 pm

I have 2 shoeboxes full of older clay, and the thought of softening it all has kept me from using it in any great quantities. This would be a great tool to reinvigorate my love of claying.

  32. Patricia Bowling says

    December 16, 2014 at 4:10 pm

I knead this because there is so much I could do with more clay! Much of my clay is older, and harder that is difficult to warm up.

  40. Patty says

    December 16, 2014 at 9:40 pm

I need this machine because I have clay that I can’t use that I bought two years ago and this is the solution to my problem. I intended to learn how to use polymer clay but I haven’t gotten around to it and I thought I would have to throw it away until I read this review. Thank you for the chance to win.

I “knead” this so much! I am making things to sell and save up for college, and with how long it takes to soften the clay, I can’t make as many things as I need. it takes forever by hand, and sometimes my skin even splits open and starts bleeding while I knead. I then have to throw away that clay and it becomes quite costly, and it ends up having no profits because of the time it takes 🙁 would love to get my achy hands on this! <3

  50. Jenn G. says

    December 18, 2014 at 4:46 pm

I would love to use this with the kids I work with.

  51. Stephanie says

    December 18, 2014 at 7:08 pm

I have issues with the joints in my fingers and the muscles in my palms so kneading clay tends to leave bruises that only get worse the more I knead. This machine would be a life safer for me, preventing pain that I’ve become accustomed to, since I started sculpting jewelry and figurines.

  52. Sorenli says

    December 18, 2014 at 10:24 pm

Like many others have listed, the “knead” for relief from arthritis and nerve pain is at constant war with my desire to craft! Especially now that I’ve developed a product that I am hoping to build as a long-term way to bring in some money for my family. Though I am no more deserving, as my struggle is so similar to many others, I do still hope by some chance to score this life-saver of a project! 🙂 I’m not sure how you’d go about contacting the winner, but just in case I win, my email is [email protected]

  53. Alyssa says

    December 19, 2014 at 4:16 am

Ever since I can remember I’ve had problems with my hands. I’ve had 3 hairline fractures in my hands; once in my left and twice on my right (dominant hand). I woke up with 2 of them and still have no idea how I got them (happened 13 years ago).

My hands cramp easily and get stiff. I’m also steadily developing carpet tunnel syndrome. I’m an artist who works with many mediums. I need my hands. This would definitely help me when I use clay. I can usually only do it for about an hour because of the endless kneading.

    I definitely knead this~

  54. Chantel Lee says

    December 19, 2014 at 8:48 pm

I’m only in my early 30s, but kneading clay leaves my hands aching for days. I would LOVE this, oh please!!

  55. Jen H says

    December 25, 2014 at 12:07 am

Unfortunately I’m unable to channel my inner Hulk when it comes to polymer. This would help me smash clay all day long. I definitely knead to have one on my work table.
