I love the idea behind this Pet inspired art project. Basically you take a photo of your pet or use the free printable here and color in the background or the actual pet. Why do I like this so much? It has an element of control. When my Child sits down and says “what do i draw mummy” I usually say well you think of something. As I do feel it is important for them to “think” for themselves cause gosh know they do very little at the moment (for themselves). Sometimes though I know they are tired and mentally exhausted and this is when this Drawing Prompt comes in to play. This is when you grab these sheets and let the kids just create without thought. It’s not only calming its creative too. You can take the project further by asking them to write a story about their drawing etc.

Winne the Pooh Mini Bag and Album Project
Now that the original Winnie the Pooh is in the public domain we’re seeing lots of fun new paper crafting products featuring classic Pooh images like stamps and scrapbooking supplies. These image bring back so much nostalgia and the joy of childhood and are perfect for creating scrapbook projects for babies and children as well as trips to Disney and pages for us “big kids” (i.e. adults) too.
Aline used the Classic Pooh line from Simple Stories to create the most adorable mini album that has a little tote bag to hold it. The bag is decorated with handles, cute Pooh, floral and bees images along with a fun hanging bag charm with a tiny mushroom and tags.
The inside pages are made from 4″ x 6″ pattern paper card bases decorated with lots of Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore papers and embellishments accented with lots of flowers and book quotes too.
Take a look at the entire project and find more details at the Simple Stories blog.
