Amazon sellers list this out of print Barbara Brackman book 1 new from  $195.93 and 9 used from $77.87.  Here is what the author Barbara Brackman has to say about the high prices:

This book brings outrageous prices on the used book sites so if you can wait till summer 2009 for the reprint you can save a bundle that you can spend on fabric to make all those applique blocks.

Now that’s how a hardcore quilter and fabric stash builder thinks!
