Oraganize A Wine And Paint Night At Home

January 8, 2018 by Shellie Wilson

Organize a Wine And Paint Night

You pretty much have to be living under a rock not to know about paint nights. All you need to enjoy yourself is a glass of wine, a brush, and some canvas. Bars and restaurants all over are cashing in on the craze and reaping the benefits. It is wonderful to go out and drink and enjoy, but sometimes you just want to be surrounded by friendly faces and familiar surroundings. Maybe you want a night with the girls, but you don’t want the strangers and the nonsense that it can bring. For that, you’ll want to go ahead and start your own paint night. How do you do it and what do you need? Let’s take a look at how to make that trend our own.

Friends

Yeah, I know how silly it seems to point out that you would need friends to have friends over, but let me explain: when you’re having an event, you want to make sure that you have the right combination of friends. Pick people who are amazing conversationalists or have wonderful people skills. Nobody wants to have a fight night instead of a paint night. Make sure the people you’re inviting are either acquainted or that they know how to work well in a group, or you’ll be in for an awfully long night. A long night with paint is not to be tolerated.

Snacks

You can have all the wine and all of the paint you want, but if you don’t feed those people you are going to have a bunch of angry people with art tools coming to hunt you down. Make sure that you include a fantastic snack to go along with your evening in. Make it something that is easy to grab in between brush strokes so that the point of the evening isn’t lost.

Wine

What is the point of all of this if you forget the main event? You have to get the wine if you’re going to have a wine and paint night. What did you have in mind? This may be a great time to survey the crowd, but if you want to keep it neutral, it may be a great time to go and survey the gang you intend to invite. If you prefer not to take a poll of your guests, opt for one of each type of wine: a blush, a red and a white. If you really want to get wild, make sure there is a sweet and dry variety of each, the better to accommodate the wine drinkers who do prefer a little more sweetness.

It is past time for you to enjoy this trend and create some awesome art for your wall! You don’t have to go out to be the life of the party, you can do that right at home. Take the time to set up some snacks, some canvas and some paint with your friends, and get ready for a night in that none of you will ever forget!
