June 11, 2009 by Vikram Goyal

Objects and Elements has put up their first Reader Challenge:  Get Closure: Show Us Your Clasps.

oandekristin

Here’s how to participate. You can make your own clasp OR show them how you’ve creatively used an objects and elements closure (as Design Team Member Kristen Robinson did with her bracelet in the photo above).

You then email a web-optimized detail picture of your work to [email protected]. Include a little bit about your closure and be sure to include any links to your website or blog. For full details, read the blog post here.

Hurry up and send in your creations, the deadline is JULY 1st to email your pics. Voting will immediately follow.

3 FREE Dark Romantasy Coloring Pages

I love fantasy books and movies and if there’s a bit of romance thrown in even better and if it’s a “it’s complicated” dark romance well then, my heart just swoons! If you don’t know, there’s a name for it, Romantasy and the new Morally Gray : A Dark Romantasy Coloring Book published by Dover certainly fits that bill. It’s filled with amazingly detailed coloring pages with themed like dragons, werewolves, vampires, castles, elves and more and you can try it out with three FREE pages to download and color for yourself. These rich scenes are sure to spark your heart and keep you relaxed and busy coloring for hours.

Coloring in sheets are a great way to calm the busy mind, as you focus on the coloring techniques your brain is actually able to calm itself and focus on less. Coloring is used to help relax and calm anxiety and stress. Coloring keeps our  mental health in check and allows us to develop parts of the creative brain. We highly recommend Faber castell coloring pencils .
