I’m delighted to a be part of the blog book tour for designer Nina Campbell’s new book Nina Campbell Interiors
. As I leafed through the pages of this beautifully photographed book, luxurious is the word that kept coming to mind. The book chronicles 8 of Nina’s commissioned design projects, ranging from an 1860’s Brownstone in New York, to a contemporary chalet in Switzerland, and a palatial residence on mainland China. Each room in these residences is exquisite, but still exudes comfort, a sense of home, and the unique personality of each client. Nina says in the introduction to the book, “I am there to be a guide to achieving the clients’ desires and to be the editor of their dreams.” She certainly achieved magic in these beautiful dwellings, and I’m excited to be able share some of my favorite images from Nina Campbell Interiors with you, and to offer one reader the chance to win a copy of the book! I loved the whimsical notion of an elephant in the hallway, and a rather large one at that! And of course, the beautiful details that are a trademark of Nina’s style in the chapter Memories of 19th Century New York.
Contemporary art is beautifully showcased in a light-filled London apartment with neutral color scheme and 1930’s inspired details in Peace and Light for a Collector.
Vibrant color punctuates the dining room in A London Country House, while delicate roses bloom in glass vases on a nearby side table.
In A Fishy Tale, metallic seahorse prints and a luminous turquoise walls highlight the Capitol Hotel’s dining room, inspired by the current chef, who specializes in seafood. Gorgeous color!

The study/dressing room in a tiny London flat features carefully planned details, like a comfortable bed that folds up out of the way when not needed. Though small, this carefully thought out space serves as the perfect nest for a traveling couple. A London Pied-à-Terre.
The charming breakfast room at the Draycott Hotel in London welcomes guests with a soothing aqua and taupe palette and lots of lovely details. From the chapter A Hotel of Comforts.
Orient and Occident happily coexist in a stunning and palatial residence on mainland China. Details from both cultures blend together beautifully in A House of Two Cultures.
