There’s a new exhibit at the Bullseye Glass Gallery in Portland called Invisible Cities, based on author Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities and it looks wonderful. The work is so thought provoking. There are 4 artists in this show, Jeffrey Sarmiento, Richard Parrish, Carrie Iverson and Nathan Sandberg, who I took a week long class with at Bullseye. Here’s a link to a video of the artists discussing the show…the show runs from August 4th through September 25. If you’re in the Portland area you should go by and check it out. This is kiln formed fine art.

FREE “Home is Where the Heart Is” Scrapbook Die Cut
This lovely “Home is Where the Heart Is” die cut is perfect for so many different styles of layout. You can make it large to fill almost the entire page, like Nathalie did here, or make it smaller for a sweet page title. It’s also great for handmade cards or planner pages too. I really love how “home” is represented with a house shape and “heart” with a heart shape! Nathalie backed her dies with soft pastel pattern papers which is a nice contrast to the woodgrain background. She also included lots of florals and butterflies and notice how she used the heart shape to frame her photo, so cute and clever!
This die cut designed by Paige Evans can be used with your electronic die cutting machine and is FREE to download.
