Vitrum offers a wide variety of glass and jewelry making classes. they offer many supplies and equipment are a Bullseye Resource Center. I’ve written about their studio in a psat posting. Some of the classes that sound super interesting are kiln casting with Linda Either of Portland, OR. Check out her piece in the above picture. It’s just lovely. There are also PMC classes as well as bead making, fusing, enamels and reactive glass class. Reading about what’s coming up in the next few months makes me want to plan a trip to the east coast…that is, once the weather warms up!

Etsy Spotlight: Wayfarer Shoes PDF Sewing Pattern Review
Ever dreamed of sewing your own shoes? I recently stumbled across this Wayfarer Shoes Adult PDF Sewing Pattern on Etsy, and it instantly caught my eye—not just for the sleek and casual design, but for the practicality of being able to make something so unique and wearable right from home!
This pattern is clearly laid out and beginner-friendly, with step-by-step photo instructions that make it feel more like a cozy afternoon craft session than a daunting DIY project. The design is surprisingly versatile—you can use canvas, denim, or even upcycle fabric scraps to make something truly personal. And let’s talk comfort: the finished shoes are flexible and perfect for indoor lounging or quick errands. It’s the kind of project that makes you feel a little extra crafty and a lot proud.
What I really love is that it’s a digital download, so you can get started immediately—no waiting around for shipping. Plus, it makes for a fantastic handmade gift idea (think Mother’s Day, birthdays, or even matching family sets!).
If you’re looking to stretch your sewing skills beyond clothes and bags, this is the perfect weekend project to try. It’s practical, stylish, and just quirky enough to say, “Yes, I made these myself!” .
