I absolutely love this man’s incredible work. It’s Saad Romany Mikhaiel of Micro Mosaic in Egypt and there’s a great story written about him on the Voice of America web site. And check out the slide show that shows a number of his pieces so you can see the intricacy in which he works. The pieces of glass that he uses are very small and that allows him to produce a detail that just isn’t present in most mosaic work. It’s very inspiring.
