If you’re feeling crafty, making your own dried flower candles is a great DIY project. You can choose any type of flowers you like and customize the scent and color of your candles to your own preferences. It’s a fun and easy way to create something unique and special.
To get started, you’ll need some candle wax, wicks, molds, dried flowers, and any scent or color additives you’d like to use. You can use any type of mold, from fancy candle molds to repurposed household items like old plastic cups.
First, melt the wax according to the instructions on the package. Add any color or scent additives you’d like to use, stirring gently until they’re fully incorporated. Next, place the wicks in the molds and pour the melted wax carefully into the molds. Be sure to leave enough space at the top for the dried flowers.
Once the wax has cooled and hardened slightly, it’s time to add the dried flowers. Warm up some more wax and use a paintbrush to apply a bit of wax to the back of each flower, then carefully press the flowers onto the surface of the candle. You can arrange the flowers in any pattern or design you like, or use them sparingly for a more subtle effect.
Finally, dip the finished candles in melted wax to seal them and give them a smooth, glossy finish. You can also decorate the candles with ribbons, twine, or other decorative elements to add a personal touch.
In conclusion, making candles with dried flowers is a wonderful way to create beautiful and unique candles that are perfect for decorating your home or giving as gifts. With a little bit of creativity and some basic materials, you can make your own stunning flower candles in no time. So why not give it a try and see what beautiful creations you can come up with?

Mine are not quite as fancy but I like how they turned out. I used a couple old plastic stacking cups that the kids don’t use anymore for molds. Next I melted the wax and added a tiny bit of red so that the candles would be pink. Then I added an apple blossom scent and put the wicks into the molds. Once the wax heated up enough I poured it into the molds.
After they set, I warmed up some more wax and used a paintbrush to dab a bit of wax to act as glue on the back of the dried flowers and stuck them onto the candle. Finally I dipped the candles to seal them.
