Lookie what she made: Frumpy jumper to hip vest

October 6, 2009 by Anne Weaver

rufflevestLookie what Disney from Ruffles and Stuff made!  Would you believe it started out as a frumpy corduroy jumper? Now I’m adding frumpy corduroy jumpers to my list of things to search for at thrift stores.  See more photos and read more about her project at Ruffles and Stuff.

How to Make a Birthday Card with Owl from Winnie the Pooh

How to Make a Birthday Card with Owl from Winnie the Pooh

I love owls and I love Winnie the Pooh so of course I’m totally in love with this wonderful birthday card that features the character of Owl from the Hundred Acre Woods! Recently the classic version of Pooh came into public domain so I’ve been seeing lots of companies producing wonderful Winnie the Pooh paper crafting products like stamps, dies and pattern papers.

This darling card design has a dry embossed number background with mats of green cardstock. The main image of Owl holding colorful banners sitting among branches were all die cut from colored cardstocks. The background of blues and greens was created with ink blending using Distress Oxide Inks and there’s also a stamped sentiment.

You can find detailed step by step directions for making this charming birthday card over at the Spellbinders blog.
