February 22, 2021 by Shellie Wilson

Suncatchers are a fun and easy craft that can be made to celebrate Easter. The projects highlighted in this roundup article are just a small sample of the many ways that children can use different materials to create beautiful and colorful suncatchers.

From simple designs like Easter eggs and bunnies, to more complex projects like spring flowers, these crafts are sure to inspire children of all ages. Not only are they fun and easy to make, but they also allow children to express their creativity and personalize their suncatchers. These crafts can be used to decorate your home, or to give as a gift to loved ones.

Making suncatchers at home also allows children to learn about different materials, textures, and colors. It’s a great way to be resourceful and save money. These projects are perfect for home or school activities, and also great for family fun, birthday parties and other events.

In any case, these Easter themed suncatchers are a great way to keep children engaged, challenge them and help them develop their creativity. So, gather different materials, break out the glue and markers, and let the crafting begin! With these ideas, you’ll have hours of fun and meaningful activities for your kids.

Before we jump into it…

Did you know to save time when making these crafts with a large classroom or preschool group you can buy ready-made items such as these Tissue paper squares, you can literally hand them out to the kids and no need for scissors or tearing. Makes the project more uniform and less mess all over the floor too or these Easter Suncatcher kits

Using paper tissue may seem tedious but it does teach kids fine motor skills, as their grasping becomes easier older children can out out the tissue paper or advance to paintbrushes or sponge painting.

You don’t want kids crafts to be too easy otherwise your lesson will be over so quickly, aim for a craft to last 30-45 mins, the average attention span for kids.  Encourage them to clean up their craft space and wash their hands and any brushes too.  Finish off with an Easter story.

In any case, let’s look at some of these crafts..
