Thanks to Daily Art Muse for profiling Jeff Zimmer and his lovely glass (scroll down). He studied with Michael Janis over at Washington Glass School, someplace I’d love to visit, and has been creating the most wonderful glass art since. He layers his glass with a bit of the final image on each piece of glass. I just love this technique. There’s depth and texture in the art. Some of my favorite qualities in glass. There’s a video showing him teaching a class in Germany. The video is in German and he’s about 2 minutes in but the piece is about glass so it’s all good. Check it out and then check out his web site too.
