Looking for inspiration on candle making ideas for St. Patrick’s day or just want to check out some Irish candles? I have been having fun scoping the net and found all kinds of Celtic sorts of candles.
At Keara’s Irish Gifts you’ll find good luck candles, Irish blessing candles, shamrocks, Celtic knot holders and even a Guinness pint candle. I love the blessing and think it would make a nice sort of keepsake gift but the shamrock candle looks fun for a party.
At the Celtic Attic there’s a “Home Sweet Irish Home†candle holder among other things. I like this one because there’s a lot of room to catch those wax drips. This candle holder is made out of resin but I could see making something similar by painting a can.
At Inspiration Peak there’s a modern looking candle with this old Irish blessing, scented with wild currant and made with palm wax.
“May you always be blessed with walls for the wind. A roof for the rain. A warm cup of tea by the fire. Laughter to cheer you. Those you love near you. And all that your heart might desire.”
