DIY tie-dyeing socks is a fun and easy way to add a pop of color to your wardrobe. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

Materials needed:

White cotton socks
Tie-dye kit (or food coloring and white vinegar)
Rubber bands
Plastic bags or plastic wrap
Gloves (if using food coloring)
Instructions:

Start by washing and drying the socks to remove any dirt or oils that may affect the dyeing process.

Next, decide on the design you want to create and use rubber bands to section off the areas of the socks that you want to keep white.

Mix the dye according to the instructions on the tie-dye kit, or if using food coloring, mix 1 cup of white vinegar with a few drops of food coloring to create a dye solution.

Carefully apply the dye to the sections of the socks, making sure to saturate them evenly.

Once the socks are dyed, place them in a plastic bag or wrap them in plastic wrap to keep them damp and prevent the dye from drying out.

Allow the socks to sit for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight for more vibrant colors.

After the dyeing process is complete, remove the rubber bands and rinse the socks in cold water until the water runs clear.

Dry the socks completely and then they’re ready to wear!

Note: Remember to use gloves if you’re using food coloring instead of tie-dye kit to prevent staining your hands.
