A woman that was just in my store asked me if I was familiar with Higgins Glass. I said no. She said it was created by a couple, Michael and Frances Higgins, that passed away, him in 1999 and her in 2004. It has been passes on to Louise and Jonathan Wimmer. Looking at the history of Higgins Glass I should know of it and them for they had been creating kiln formed glass in the Chicago area since 1948. They created Mid-Century Modern glass for the home that we have all seen and enjoyed without necessarily knowing it was Higgins Glass. I think the Rondelles are my favorite but the sconces and mobiles are lovely too. Check out their site….
