Great Tips for a Valentine’s Day Party

January 22, 2019 by Vikram Goyal

Valentine’s Day party-come one, come all! Whether single or in a relationship, Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion for a beautiful event. If you enjoy hosting great get-togethers, this is a great time to plan a soiree. What makes for a great party? The food, atmosphere and the music set the stage for a great event. Follow these great tips to succeed with a sophisticated, elegant and an inspiring event which is likely to illicit some real feelings of love.

To create a warm atmosphere use candlelight and low lighting. This is known to create an instant romantic glow. Keep your lights low and let the candle light dictate the mood. This is a great time to show case your beautiful candle ware or pick up some new items. Try some scented candles too, woodsy cinnamons are said to stir the passions.

The décor really depends on your personal taste. Whether you are more into a modern crisp look or whimsical flare, you can custom tailor to suit your objectives. Try to utilize some red roses, as we all know them to represent love. Make a playlist of some love songs or whatever mood you want to set. Whether you want everyone just chatting it up or getting up and dancing, you can set your vibe with the music list.

You can create seating room by moving tables against the wall to serve as the buffet tables for food and place chairs strategically to get people together. You can use tablecloths to prettify the table. This will give a crisp look. Don’t over clutter the table with décor. You want the food to serve as the main décor. Fluff those pillows on your couch and create a special recluse for those who want to share a quiet moment.

Try some finger sandwiches cut into heart shapes with cookies cutter. A delicious option is also a chocolate or cheese fondue. This keeps guests meeting back at the table, a great way to keep things light and social. Keep plates of chocolate and those yummy heart shaped candies as part of your edible decor. Finger foods are a great option. Pick up or make your own H’orderves. Finger foods keep everyone mobile and able to socialize. Try some new recipes for dips and warm spreads.

Impress your guests with some delicious cocktails or a signature drink for the evening and give a snazzy name like cupids arrow or Love Potion No. 9. You can also pick up some sparkling wine or champagne and present them with strawberries. Make some delicious desserts as well. Pick up some pastries from the local bakery or make your own sweet treats.

Don’t over calculate every detail. You set the stage, now let your guests have a great time and enjoy your party! Between the delicious food, the music, the romantic atmosphere and the cozy seating, your party is sure to be a hit!

Sit back relax and have a great evening!
