Great idea: Stitch combo for borders

October 24, 2009 by Denise Felton

borderThis fabulous border treatment by SharonB is from her For the Love of Stitching Sampler. She says,

This band of stitching is another experiment worked in two parts. This row is worked liked chevron stitch, along top section of the row and on the bottom of the row instead of working a chevron stich foot I worked half of a Cretan stitch. Next I worked stepped threaded running stitch over the top.

Gorgeous stitch combo. Gorgeous color combo. Wow. See more on SharonB’s blog, Pin Tangle.

Clifton Tote Crochet Kit

This pattern from Knits N’ Knots (Janine Myska) is an absolute gem. As an intermediate crocheter, I found the instructions clear and easy to follow, allowing me to create a stylish and practical tote bag with ease.

One of the things I loved most about this pattern is the use of two strands of yarn, which not only adds durability but also creates a lovely textured fabric. The combination of basic stitches and granny squares adds visual interest to the bag, making it a modern and chic accessory for any outfit.

The customizable size options were also a great feature, allowing me to choose between a regular or large tote based on my preferences and needs. I opted for the regular size, and it turned out to be the perfect size for carrying my daily essentials.
