Glass Cabochon Molds from Delphi

April 29, 2009 by lori greenberg

glass cabochon mold

This glass cabochon mold from Delphi Glass provides the perfect vehicle for creating cabs out of frit or glass.

These molds have intrigued me for a while now.  I’ve wanted to try something like this for my own jewelry pieces to be set in silver or to somehow make them into beads.  I’ve considered building my own molds for a more organic look but these seem like they’re be an easy way to try out some of the ideas kicking around in my brain.  Be sure to check out the link above for other great mold shapes too.

Thank you to the Tyler-and-Jeff-Savings blog today for bringing this to my attention.

Free Crochet Pattern – Pachira Tee: The Ultimate Oversized Comfort

If you’re on the hunt for a chic yet cozy crochet project, the Pachira Tee by Audrey Trecasse is the perfect pattern to add to your collection. Designed with ease and comfort in mind, this tee offers a stylish, modern look that feels just as good as it looks.

Oversized Comfort: The Pachira Tee is designed to be worn with 15 cm (6 in) of positive ease, giving it an effortlessly relaxed, oversized fit. Perfect for those days when you want something comfortable but still trendy.

Minimal Seaming: One of the best features of this pattern is how little seaming is required. The tee is crocheted in one panel, sideways, and you’ll only need to seam up the sides. This makes it an enjoyable project for crocheters who like a bit of simplicity with their garments.
Versatile and Stylish: This tee can be dressed up or down. Whether you’re lounging at home, going out with friends, or layering it over a cute dress, it’s versatile enough for various looks and seasons.

Helpful Tutorials: The pattern includes photo and video tutorials, making it easier to follow along and understand any tricky sections. It’s a great option for crocheters who prefer a bit of guidance as they work.

Sizes: Available in a wide range of sizes, from 28-30″ chest up to 56-58″ chest, so this pattern can be tailored to fit a variety of body types.
Yarn: The tee is worked in Galileo, a sport-weight yarn made of 50% Merino wool and 50% viscose from bamboo. The blend of natural fibers gives the top a soft, breathable, and luxurious feel that’s perfect for warmer weather or layering.
Yardage: The pattern requires between 1150-2090 yards of yarn, depending on the size you choose.

Hook Sizes: A 3.25mm and 3.5mm crochet hook is recommended, giving the tee a light, airy feel that’s still substantial enough for a wearable garment.

The Pachira Tee is a must-try for crocheters looking for a stylish, wearable project that doesn’t sacrifice comfort. The minimalist design, combined with the soft yarn and positive ease, makes it an ideal piece for a relaxed yet fashionable wardrobe. Whether you’re new to garment-making or an experienced crocheter, this tee is a great way to step up your crochet skills and create a beautiful, practical piece that you’ll love to wear.
