Glass Art Society News…Info From Their Newsletter

March 28, 2010 by Cathi Milligan

Just got the GAS Newsletter in the mail and I thought it would be a great idea to pass along some of the information about calls for entries and classes and other interesting stuff. If you’re not a member of the Glass Art Society I highly recommend joining. It puts you in the loop for quite a bit of glass info. So here goes…

There are two month and three month apprenticeships in Italy at Vetrate Artistiche Toscane Via della Galluza. Tell me that doesn’t sound totally amazing. Can I go? This place is based in Siena, Italy and for more information go to www.glassisland.com. And take me with you!

The Corning Museum of Glass is looking for Glassblowers and Flameworkers for Summer 2010. It’s for their Make Your Own Glass Workshop.  If interested please contact…Gladys West @ [email protected]. Sounds like it could be a great time if you’re an experienced glass worker.

And lastly…Ox-Bow in Chicago, IL is looking for a glass studio technician that will actually live at the facility during the period of  May 24-Aug 28. Email [email protected]. There are many more things I could list but I think I’ll save them for a later blog in a few days…
