It’s time to celebrate creativity this March in honor of National Crafting Month. Crafting enthusiasts know the secret to creating expert projects is a premium iron. This month, Rowenta is debuting three new irons that are sure to help with the crafting creation process.
- The redesigned Rowenta Focus ($100) is the perfect companion for those seeking a tool to produce expert projects with perfectly crafted results every time.
- The Rowenta Effective Comfort ($65) and Effective Comfort Cord Reel ($75) make crafting easy, offering enhanced performance and product features at an affordable price.
Rowenta Focus:
- The highly polished stainless steel Microsteam 400 soleplate with the unique high precision tip deliver unsurpassed ironing performance in even the hardest to reach areas.
- The crafting-specific version of the Focus model (not pictured) features a non-auto off function to avoid waiting for the iron to re-heat between uses on a single project. Great for projects with detailing.
- The extra-large water tank gives you more time at the workstation with fewer trips to refill, while the Covered Filling Inlet helps prevent spilling water on the designs.
- Powerful bursts of steam help designs and projects “set better” by injecting heat into the heart of the fabric.
Rowenta Effective Comfort and Effective Comfort Cord Reel
- A stainless-steel microsteam 300 soleplate provides a smooth surface for easy glide to help produce seamless designs, while the improved thumb rest maximizes comfortable on larger crafting projects.
- Rowenta’s signature precision tip allows crafters to meticulously iron in hard-to-reach-areas and is also handy for smaller projects.
- The Automatic Cord Reel System delivers ease of use with a cord length that can be adjusted as needed or completely retracted when stored.

My current iron is no match because it has been dropped or pulled off my ironing board about 10 times. Not to mention the fact that the temperature dial has come off several times so that’s no longer accurate! I would love to win a new one. Thanks for the opportunity!
Nicole J. says
My current iron is no match to the Rowenta. I have a steam feature that sends boiling water pouring out instead of the appropriate pulse of steam. The bottom refuses to be cleaned conventionally after using heat bond or other crafting materials. To top it all off, I recently learned a very potentially dangerous lesson of what happens when the automatic shut-off feature no longer works. My poor ironing board cover! All signs point to the incredible need for a new one – a free, new one would make it so much sweeter!
Sherry J. says
my current iron is no match for the rowenta, its a small travel iron i found at my mother in laws because my other iron died and started leaking water every time i filled it. A new one would be awesome!
Elise says
My iron…my errant pup decided to instigate it when it was safely stored away on the shelf and yes, he found the cord a hew toy he couldn’t resist. My iron is now a very dead brick!
Amy says
My current iron is an oooollllddd $15 number which has never worked particularly well.
Judy says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta because it often spits water instead of steam…
Brittany says
My current iron only has two settings: hot and off. It also shuts off on its own really quickly.
Annik says
Wow, the Focus sounds great! I sure wish I could override auto shut off with my current iron. It doesn’t get hot enough, either, so my fabric never looks crisp and smooth. The water tank is TINY and has to be refilled constantly. Finally, the tip of my iron is too rounded which is a pain when pressing open small seams. Hooray for Rowenta for designing an iron with crafters in mind.
Lilla says
Ok…where can I start! My iron spits water…does not stand up on its own… it is SO bad that it is now up in my closet…I have resorted to, throwing my clothes in the dryer to get the wrinkles out! Haha!
Vanessa B says
my current Rowenta would be no match for the new Focus because I really need the non-auto off, extra large steam and skinny tip for tight spaces 🙂 Thanks for a chance to win!
Beth says
My current iron ruined my last quilt by spraying rusty water all over the white fabric! And I had never put any water in it! (Though I am suspicious that the hubby did)
Cheryl says
I received my first Rowenta for a wedding present over 35 years ago and it finally bit the dust. My Mother recently passed away so I am using her iron which is another brand. There is no comparison to the Rowenta and would love to have another Rowenta for my sewing projects.
Jessica says
My current iron cost me $5 and it works alright, but it takes forEVER to heat up and leaks when I fill it with water. And if that wasn’t bad enough, our cat got a hold of it and chewed through the cord, my husband had to use a wire nut to piece it back together! So I would totally love a new iron, especially a free Focus iron!! =)
Tina W says
My current iron is a 20-year old Black & Decker. ’nuff said? 🙂
Erin J. says
I think my husband had our iron before I met him…so it is at least 7 years old and really only has two setting…hot and hotter!
Cathib says
I have a son who literally had ruined every iron I have owned. So I purchased a tag sale iron. Sad iron but I gave up.i would love the focus iron and hide it.
Cathib says
I Really need this iron I purchased a tag sale iron because my son has ruined every iron I have owned…i will hide this one when I win it (thinking positively, ha)
Tammie says
My current iron is no match for a Rowenta (but what iron is?). My old iron is still working, so I can’t get rid of it! I hope the power in the house can handle the rowenta!
Jen M says
My iron is no match for a Rowenta focus. I am a match for a Rowenta Focus because I LOVE to sew, and my iron is a spitty old thing. Plus it would match my fab new Rowenta garment steamer!
Syd says
My current iron still works, though not real well. I’ve had it so long and dropped it enough times that the bottom isn’t completely attached anymore. I would love to win the focus iron. Thanks for the chance.
Melissa says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because it broke after only 4 months! Thanks for the opportunity!
bees says
my old iron is TERRIBLE! the mist button sits right on the handle, so every time you iron, you nudge the button and it dumps water everywhere. i would looooove to win a new iron, because i really need one!
Melissa says
My current iron is the first iron I have ever owned. When you hit the steam button a splash of water dribbles onto the fabric with no steam involved…that is if the water hasn’t all leaked out already elsewhere at the point of hitting steam. That Rowenta Focus would easily be my prettiest and most efficient crafting supply. Plus it sounds like a car name and is super shiny like one too 😉
Connie says
My current iron is a beloved Rowenta that worked awesome for years after being handed down from my parents. However, I would love the new Rowenta for doing quilts. Wow, it would be awesome!
Rhonda says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because it is just that, an OLD iron. It does not steam well, instead I will be surprised with bursts of hot water over my hand as I press things. I use it constantly throughout the day, why haven’t I bought a new one yet? I should write down ROWENTA on my shopping list.
Kelly says
well seeing my current iron isn’t far from the kind you used to heat up on the stove, the Rowenta Focus will surpass it by far!
Alyssa says
My old iron hasn’t got that awesome steam function! I would LOVE a Rowenta!
Carol Douglass says
Ahh, what can I say about my current iron? It is a Rowenta, so it’s not half bad. I am in a very small group of people who love to iron, I find it relaxing and love the way my clothes look when I am done.I did a lot of research to find the perfect iron. I would love to up grade though. I love Rowenta!
Dawn says
Oh my! That iron is amazing! I was just telling my husband that I need to get “my own” iron as he uses our current one to iron his uniforms and constantly leaves a layer of starchy yuck all over it! It does not do my quilting fabric any favors!! To have my own iron and one such as this would be heaven!!
Margaret Bucklew says
My iron is no match because I didn’t use distilled water in it…now it won’t steam. Plus, a hot iron and the wrong side of fusible web just don’t work together. I need a Rowenta!
Michele Kirk says
Wow…although I’m a Rowenta owner already the Focus has amazing new functions. I’d love to own it!!!
Lisa Garrett says
I have an old Sunbeam that doesn’t steam well anymore and sometimes it doesn’t seem to get very hot. I would love one of these!!
lag110 at mchsi dot com
Reine says
My fiance somehow managed to get black stickiness all over the bottom of my old iron and it won’t come clean, even though it is meant to be non-stick :o(
Kelly says
Oh my goodness- Your irons are better than my current one, first of all, because my iron doesn’t belong in a museum. It is ugly and barely functioning. The picture provided is the best looking iron I’ve ever seen. I should know, I’ve been looking for a new one and I spent five years working in a home supply store. Way to go Rowenta!
Sandy says
When I got my current iron, I thought I would love the ‘auto off’ function, but every time I am doing a craft with sew/iron/sew/iron, I sit there at the sewing machine hearing the auto off beep and having to get up an jiggle the iron. It would be so much better when I know I am going to be right there in the room for hours to be able to turn that off!
Peggy McCurry says
I would love love love one of these! My iron automatically shuts off which is good for my absentmindedness but not when I am crafting. Extra large water tank, oh my!!! The joy of not having to fill every time I turn around!
Debbie says
Oh, Oh, Oh! I’ve been trying to replace my old iron for over a year. I’m on my second replacement and they are simply not working right. Ugh! I surely could use a Rowenta!
Christine Kellogg says
My current iron simply does not get hot enough!
Laura Genovario says
My current iron hasn’t much steam and I can’t tell by the dial which setting I have it on. I just melted one of my tops.
Betty says
Looks like a wonderful iron- mine is archaic! I’d love to give the Focus a try!
Nicole says
It’s shiny! My current iron spits instead of steams, I’d love to win an upgrade.
Marcia Kosturock says
I’m using a travel iron.. say no more LOL..
Marisa says
My current iron inexplicably falls off of my board from time to time (watch your toes!). It leaks boiling water. It’s dangerous and I shouldn’t use it but I can’t make myself buy another cheap iron that won’t work properly (this is iron #3) and don’t have the money to buy a Rowenta. I would love a free one!
Mosaic Magpie says
I have a husband that wears 100% cotton shirts and the Rowenta handled the wrinkles like a dream. During a recent move the Rowenta iron disappeared. I bought an iron that I thought was compariable. To my dismay the new iron just does not do the job the Rowenta did. I am now waiting for this iron to die, and I will be back to the Rowenta!
Deb
Merry Jo says
My iron is no match because it doesn’t have the craft tip.
Emily K says
I have had my old iron for years. At first I tried (to no avail) to explain why we dont use the sewing iron to iron our clothes. a new iron would be amazing!!
Ricki Duke says
My iron is so BAD. Too much crafting with it. I am surprised that it still gets hot. Now this new iron will look really good in the craft room and be a welcomed addition. Please please pick me.
Duane says
My old iron is about 30 years old, and it’s been used up. It doesn’t even steam.
Lindasew says
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ROWENTA irons!!! I’ve been using them for 20 years now since I discovered just how great they are! The special craft tip on the Focus sounds perfect for detailing and the “No Auto- Shut-off” would be the icing on the cake!
Debra - Naples, FL says
I always wanted a Rowenta Iron and my mom bought me on at a tag sale I was thrilled, until I plugged it in the steam portions leak. Ugh still no Rowenta. I want to win
Diane Broach says
OH my, this would make my sewing so much easier with m quilting squares. What an iron, I sure would like to win, thank you or the chance
Faye Mcghee says
I belong to a Sr Citizen’s Center Craft Class.
We are a group of ladies, that get great enjoyment helping those in need in the community. We have an old iron, that someone donated and it doesn’t work very well. It doesn’t heat like it should. We do a lot of sewing and an iron is really needed. A Rowenta would be sooo much help. We do a lot of things for the needy children in our area, mosty abused kids. It would be such a blessing to have an iron we can count on, when we need it. Thanks for listening. Sincerely Faye Mcghee
Juli says
There is no contest between my current iron and the Rowenta. Currently I still have the cheapy one from college that heats up very slowly, only has a few settings, leaks water randomly, and has weak steam. I would love a new one, especially of this caliber.
Faye Mcghee says
Our Sr Citizen’s craft Class could really use an iron we can count on when we need it. We do a lot of good for the community and need dependable tools to work with. A Rowenta would mean the world to all of use concerned.
Connie Sochacki says
My OLD iron is OLD! I have cleaned the plate so many times to get the built up goo off, that I am ready to throw it away.
This new Rowenta is soooo sleek. It is soooo beautiful and functional. It would help me zip through my doll making.
If there were a beauty contest between my iron and this new Rowenta, my iron would be judged in the granny competition, while the Rowenta would be entered in the “sweet young thing” t-shirt competition!
Susan says
My iron doesn’t even work half the time. I would love to have a new rowenta focus iron!
Sarah says
I would love to be in the running to win the iron. I have been a fan of Rowenta for some time, but my iron is very old. I use it every week and it is worn out. Please place me into the drawing pot. Thanks Sarah
Peg Linge says
OOooOOoo….I would LOVE a new iron! My old one “somehow” (aka my KIDS) was dropped and now has rough edges that rip my clothes! I have to iron on the side…ha!
Sue Saylor says
Where to start? My current iron is chintzy on the steaming and takes forever to get hot. This would make those ironing chores so much easier.
Anne says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because it’s older than dirt!!!
Linda Keal says
i would love to have a Rowenta. I’ve dreamed of having such a wonderful, amazing iron. My iron is over 15 years old and it shuts off when I’m pressing if it takes longer than the timer…come on now…I’m creating no time for taking breaks…you know what I mean??? Rowenta…my dream come true!
sarah says
My iron is no match because it recently died after a long, long, loooong life. RIP, old friend.
Karen K says
My iron is a cheap one from a discount store. I have never owned a good iron and a Rowneta is an iron that dreams are made of!!!
Roni says
My old iron is no match as I have three teenage boys who iron everything on the hottest setting…including patches on t-shirts! I have ever been able to fully romove the ‘stuff’ caked on the iron…a new iron of my own would be such a luxury.
Dianne says
I want to love ironing again. Nope, can’t do it with an iron that won’t steam when required, and a cord that flips down and under when the iron is set down. RRRRGGHH!!
E White says
I spent a lot of money for an iron that never worked correctly. It would shut off as I was ironing. I then went and bought the least expensive iron I could find and no problems. So to say that this iron beats mine is a no brainer!!!
Shendra says
My iron doesn’t come close to the Rowenta Focus! It leaks horribly and stays powered on and smokin’ hot until it’s unplugged. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a quality iron!
Sunny S says
Before you could reliably get Rowenta irons here in the States, my mother discovered and fell in love with them while living abroad. When she moved back, she brought THREE of them with her! I’ve never been able to bring myself to buy anything but uber-cheap ones since, until I can get a “real” iron like this! 🙂
Karen Norris says
my old iron is as old as i am!
Kathy says
My iron is no match because it is auto-off. I liked my old iron which was not too techy to turn itself off just before I needed it.
Becky Green says
How is my CURRENT iron, no match for one of the NEW ROWENTA irons????? Well, I MUST CONFESS!!! I HAVE a Rowenta!!! AND I LOVE IT!!! My current iron would be no match in that it’s OLDER!!! That’s about it!!! There’s NOTHING LIKE a ROWENTA IRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
Missy K. says
I recently had an iron stop working. My replacement is an older one I am borrowing from my mother. It is no match for the Rowenta Focus, because black gunk comes out when you use the steam.
Jaan says
I’m on my 6th or 7th iron….I KILL THEM? I do realize that irons do NOT like being dropped on concrete, but have figured out how to prevent that. My iron really needs to be retired. The teflon on the bottom is gone, and I have so much tape on it, that it looks like its from outer space. Thanks for the chance to win a new iron.
Sandy N. says
I had a Rowenta for many years and LOVED it. Never had a lick of trouble with it. My dear niece pulled it out of the electrical outlet by the cord and not the plug and now it doesn’t work.=( I would LOVE to win one of these irons to replace it. The cheapie one I’m using now just doesn’t cut it like a Rowenta. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Chris says
I am a college student and sewer and do not have an iron! I always have to borrow one!
colleen says
My iron is from 1980 and it will not steam anymore and sometimes just turns itself off!
Kristin Merrigan says
My iron is not a match because it has an automatic shutoff that happens BEFORE it gets hot enough to make a crease or remove a wrinkle.
Pam F. says
The iron at home was that DH brought into the marriage, and probably bought second hand when he arrived in this country 13 years ago. It’s pretty old. I’m pretty sure the Rowenta will beat that old thing out of the water. 🙂
Heathery says
My iron doesn’t even steam anymore! Also, it has some crusty mess on it that I just can’t get off no matter how many times I scrub it.
Adri says
Wow! It’s like comparing a Yugo to a BMW — the name and beauty of the Rowenta Focus really says it all <3 <3
Dennis says
any iron would beat mine. It is old and has been used a lot. Thanks for the giveaway and have wonderful week.
Erin says
I never use my iron for clothes, it’s all for crafting purposes, which means it has fusible interfacing and little shreds of fabric stuck all over it. I try to clean it, but really, I’m just holding onto it until I can find a better iron, so there’s not much investment in keeping it nice. I promise, if I win a Rowenta Focus, I will clean it after every use and always use wax paper when using fusible interfacing.
Carol says
My husband wears jeans everyday to work and he likes them very stiff with starch. Consequently we go through a lot of irons. The current iron is still working but barely and it takes a long time to get those blue jeans starched. Once that is done, the rest of the ironing seems like a breeze even with an iron that is too pooped to press!!
Robin V says
My current iron is a Rowenta. It is probably 20 years old. It is missing pieces and parts that have broken off during one of its numerous falls to the floor, but it still irons daily for my husband, myself and six children. I have been given other irons throughout the years, but I would rather use my trusty old Rowenta than any other brand.
Jackie M. says
I would love an iron that didn’t turn off every single time I turn my back. I waste more time in the sewing room waiting on the iron to heat up. I would love to try a Focus!!
Barbara says
WOW! A giveaway Rowenta? Awesome! I’ve had a Rowenta in the past, and it was great. My current iron is not a Rowenta, and I miss having one terribly! My husband bought this one, and while he does a lot of the ironing, he just doesn’t know what he’s missing! This iron spits and spews water and turns itself off waaay too soon and is just not a “good” iron. Winning one of these would be a great way to let him in on what he’s been missing, and I’d be reunited with my favorite brand of iron! Thanks for the opportunity.
Rita Hephner says
My old iron wasn’t that great(hot) when it was new. It never really gets hot enough to press a perfect seam or to give that polished look to any project.
There is nothing like a quality iron to give any sewing project that professional touch.
Also my cat has knocked my old one off the ironing board so many times it is a wonder it works at all.
Brooke says
I paid $10 for my current iron.. and it shows!! It doesn’t get hot enough for cotton… so I have to iron things more than once and they still don’t look good!
mandy says
oh goodness my current iron was bought when we were first married over 7 years ago, probably from Wal-Mart…and remembering the state of our newlywed finances definitely cost under 20 bucks.
Annette Crain says
Well, from what I have heard the “Rowenta” is the cadillac of irons. I always seem to buy one that is one sale, then regret it for years after. I am a quilter, so when it “spits” out brown water on my prize quilts, I am not a happy woman.
Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful iron.
[email protected]
maryc says
I have one of those fancy irons from the quilt show that all quilters think they need – even lifts itself up off the fabric! Guess what – all those fancy options don’t matter if the iron pours water out on the fabric randomly. I NEED a new iron desperately!
Theresa says
My iron is so old it’s heated by lumps of hot coal! Great for camping, bad for crafting. It is no match for the new Rowenta Focus.
Elena says
You mean I wouldn’t have to use a 25-year old iron that has plastic from vinyl projects melted onto the sides? Hmm, novel idea.
Melinda H says
I am using old hand-me-down irons that have things stuck to the plate. The heat isn’t consistent or even, and sometimes it steams even when you have that turned off! I would LOVE the Effective Comfort Cord Reel model so my dog and I don’t Have to worry about tripping over cords anymore!
Susan Lafrentz says
I have never used a Rowenta before, but have heard great things about this brand from some of my friends. What an awesome give-away!
cathy harasty says
i have always wanted a Rowenta iron! my current iron is heavy and does not heat evenly.
Rowenta to the rescue (please)!!!
Rose Lef says
The soleplate on my current iron is messed up. Also it doesn’t spray the steam too evenly. I would love a new Rowenta. What a wonderful giveaway.
lisa beebe says
My cheap iron is no match to a Rowenta because it has been knocked off my ironing board and now is leaking water, it takes me forever to iron and the cloths still don’t look that great. I would love a new Rowenta to make my life of ironing a little easier. Thank you, Rowenta
Liz Marie says
My mom and I used to run a business together, when I was a teenager. We’d repurpose old and revamp vintage clothing, as well as sell our crafts out of a tiny booth in Northeastern Tennessee. From the time I was a little girl, she taught me how to sew, how to style, and yes, how to iron. She saved and saved and when we opened the business, I went with her to pick out her shiny new Rowenta iron. I can still remember how excited she was! 🙂 She treated that iron like gold, and to us, it was one of the most important tools in our process. I used it to make my own prom dress! She bought that iron over ten years ago, and she still has it, well used but shiny as ever. We no longer are in business together (I’m all the way up here in Maine!), but I continue to make clothes for myself and for the people around me. I hope that, despite my crappy economic situation, maybe one day I can afford my own instead of the $10 mess I work with now. Not to sound sappy, but maybe this is my chance! Happy crafting!
Stephanie S says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta because it doesn’t heat evenly, has some burned residue on the bottom and doesn’t look nearly as nice.
Tami says
Well, the Iron I have been using since before my daughter was born (25 yrs ago)Has been on its last leg for years! It has been dropped, leakes water, seams to heat up when it wants too,and takes forever to heat up! I have been waiting to find a new one thats right for me, and I dont have the money to waste on one thats not that good at all. I craft as well as just regular ironing ( I take in ironing jobs)for extra money. Thanks for this offer!
Sue H says
My current iron is no match because it’s not with me anymore – gone into the navy with the son!
Angel says
My old iron is SO not a match for the Rowenta! Water pours out instead of steam. I would love to have one of these irons!!!
BD says
let me count the ways my old iron is no match for the Rowenta…heavy, steamless, lame, etc.
(I MIGHT even iron my husband’s shirts if I got a Rowenta!!)
Shari J says
This isn’t even a fair question! My old iron has no point on it anymore, spits water when it decides to finally release it, in the meantime it boils away the rest of the water in the reservoir. It has one heat level right now and I thank God it is not burning hot, but hot enough to iron cotton if it isn’t too wrinkled. Please, pick my number, I love the point on this Rowenta and to have adjustable heating again…….OMG! Thanks for the opportunity. If I don’t win this one I may just have to ask for one for Mother’s Day now that I realize all over again what bad shape my own is in.
Jessie C says
I would love a new iron. It would be such an improvement over my old, cheap current iron!
Kathi S. says
I am one of those people who find ironing relaxing. I’ve had about 10 irons bite the dust and my current one is on the way out. Rowenta irons are the top of the line and would be so appreciated by me. Thanks for the opportunity.
Paula says
My iron has no steam, precision point, or thumbrest and it barely gets hot. Not to mention the cord has fallen into the litter box. :?/ It is comparable in no way to a new Rowenta!
Paula

Jeanne says
Nothing matches a Rowenta especially my current iron–spits water, has something stuck to the plate and is just down right nasty. I guess if you were dropped that much you would be that nasty too!
Teri Champine says
I had an old GE iron that finally gave out and I am now using a Black & Decker that was a used iron. Sure would like an iron that is up-to-date like the Rowenta. Just to have steam when you ask for it would be great! Thanks for the opportunity to win one of the new Rowenta’s!
Becki says
My current iron is no match for a Rowenta because it frequently shuts itself off–while I’m ironing.
Amy Gilman says
My iron is so old and has had so many things melted on it is barely qualified to iron cloths let alone beautiful fabric that i am sewing in my latest project! I would love to win a new iron!
Laura says
OMG! There is no comparison, My iron is from the middle ages and these are just a dream. All the wonderful projects I could make with one.
Pat Thomas says
I had a Rowenta 10 years ago that I loved! Unfortunately it fell off my ironing board onto a tile floor and was toast. I felt so guilty I have only bought cheap irons since. I have not been nearly as pleased with the labors of my ironing. I would love to be able to use a Rowenta again!
Samantha says
I’m only 24, but I’ve been crafting since I’ve had agility in my fingers! This iron would be so wonderful for the “pajama pants kick” I’ve been on! Ironing fabric with my cheapy $5 Wal-Mart Iron is unbearable with the flannel I’ve been using! Winning this would be AH-Mazing! 🙂
Steph says
My current iron is a $7.99 drug store special. It truly is “special.” Please may I have a Rowenta?
Judy says
My iron would not have competed with this beauty before it recently jumped off the shelf and landed on the floor….
Vicki K says
Just yesterday my iron was having a hissy fit – I just cleaned the plate and it still is catching on my fabrics. I love the idea of a larger water tank too – seems like I have to refill constantly on my current iron.
This is a beautiful Rowenta! Hope, hope hope…
Mirja says
my current iron, that was a wedding present 8 years ago has taken numerous falls to the floor!
Marilyn Tucker says
I got my current iron at a yard sale. I have no idea how old it is. It only steams when it wants to, not when I need it to. I could soooo use either one of the Rowentas. Thanks for the chance to win.
Debbie says
My old iron just isn’t working that good. I just started quilting & find you need a good iron since all sewed seems need to be pressed. Your iron would be SUPER for my quilting needs.
Jennie says
My iron is dead. Despite repeated cleanings with iron cleaner, it has some dried on burned bits from a fabric that claimed to be 100% cotton, but turned out to be pure plastic. It also has a stupidly short cord and likes to hiss and spit water randomly. I’d LOVE to replace it with a new Focus!
Christine says
I LOVE Rowentas! and my last one just died (hubby dropped it on a hard floor).
I haven’t replaced it yet and would love to win this one. It sounds superb!
Erin says
Oh I was so happy to see this giveaway. I am pretty new to quilting/sewing and getting a new iron is my next purchase. I have been eyeing the Rowenta irons. My old iron just isn’t getting the wrinkles out quickly and I love the Rowenta plate shape for some smaller projects. Oh I hope I win this giveaway!!!
Jane says
Would love to upgrade. I have a Rowenta, but it is no comparison to the new focus. Mine is so old, I can’t get the heat settings to change. Thanks for the chance to win.
Shelly says
My current iron is an old $5 Walmart special. It doesn’t have the weight or heat needed to really press out the wrinkles. It also has some terrible staining (or something!) on the plate. It needs a replacement, and a Rowenta would be just the thing!
Margery Jones says
My current iron is no match because it’s so old the Rowenta’s new technology was unheard of when I got it. The faceplate is scorched. It has been dropped several times. And it’s basically at the end of it’s usefulness. I actually avoid ironing because it’s so obsolete. The Rowenta is the answer to my prayers, it’s beautiful, stylish, and functional. It will get the job done.
Thank you for the opportunity to win.
Cyndi says
From the discription of the Rowenta no iron could ever compare. My iron is only a few months old, my son-in-law ran out and got when my old one died. It was very nice of him, to say the least he isn’t familiar with chosing an iron. It works fine for regular ironing just not for sewing or other crafts. Please pick me. Thank you.
Cyndi
Julie Ann Witt says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because it broke last week! Perfect timing *fingers crossed, prayers raised* !!!

My Iron is about 18 yrs old, extremely heavy and the thingy to cap off the water resivoir broke off about 3 years ago. I could use a new iron, for sure!
Anna Pham says
I love the iron’s design with the precision tip compared to my iron’s shape that can’t reach some places that well.
Nicole B says
My current iron is not match for the Rowenta by ANY MEANS! The iron we use now is the SAME iron my hubby’s parnets bought him when he went to college…10+ years ago. I had a nicer iron when we got married but it recently died (few months ago) and he JUST HAPPENED to have this cheap little iron “lying around”. It is covered with some black crap that WON”T come off …Unless you happen to be ironing something lighter than black. I hate it but I also NEVER remember to by a new when I am out shopping.
Jane Raymond says
My old iron only cost $5 in it’s prime. It mever was able to give bursts of steam on demand like a Rowenta. We use Rowenta’s where I work and i would love to have one for my own use.
Tabitha says
My iron…covered with gunk despite cleaning, spits out water when I first turn the steam function on, and sometimes just leaks water for the heck of it 🙂 I think the Rowenta has mine beat!!
Marilyn says
An extra large water reservoir! Now that’s something I could really use.
Pam says
My iron is also no match for a Rowenta- it’s old, cheap, runs out of water quickly, spits, and also has that annoying rounded tip that doesn’t quite get what you need!
Sandy says
My current iron is no match for Rowenta Focus, which has a stainless-steel soleplate, a precision tip to reach those hard-to-reach-areas, and the Automatic Cord Reel System, which can be adjusted as needed or completely retracted when stored. Fabulous!
Karen Quinn says
I longed to have a Rowenta iron. Mine old original iron steam no longer works and now my currant iron spits out water or boils over even though it is not to full. In my life of ironing and sewing A(45 yrs) I have had about 10 irons
Eva K. says
The iron I have now is no match for the Rowenta Focus! It is like comparing an old Ford truck to a sleek Porche! No comparison! My iron is 10 years old, it is big and clunky with the standard cord. I would love a new craft iron that is small and sleek with a cord reel system…now that is cool! And extra large water reservoir is a bonus too! Love it! I’m keeping my fingers cross to be one of the lucky ones!
Janet Pierce says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta. I have 2 irons, 1 that spits and doesn’t iron very well, and the newer one that does better but doesn’t hold a candle to the Rowenta. Neither one has a Stainless steel soleplate which is really nice and I like the precision tip and the auto cord. I would love one that doesn’t spit water and that presses nice and that holds alot of water for lots of steam.
vickie says
I have had my iron for over twenty years so it is certainly no match for the rowentas!
Lyn says
My iron should have been a Rowenta to start with but my darling husband talked me into a cheaper model that really isn’t a good match. My iron has two settings and must have water to be effective or I’ll be ironing the same spot for hours! My husband is no match for Mr. Rowenta and my iron is no match for a Rowenta. Gosh it would be nice to have a shiney new Rowenta! Thanks for thinking of me!
deede says
I have long drooled over a Rowenta iron. I have a rotten Sunbeam that came over on the Mayflower (possibly). How happy I would be to provide one of these with a new home!
Thanks!
Rita Hephner says
My old iron does not get hot enough. Never was that hot to begin with in moe ways than one. The new Rowenta would be lovely for my new hobby of sewing. There is nothing like a good iron for a pressing seams and a great finishing touch.
Nikki M says
My iron is no match for the new Rowenta – at all!! Tha plate is stained, always has some sticky residue on it, and leaks!
Amy L says
My iron doesn’t slide over fabric well, and it leaks water while I iron.
Aubrey says
My old iron is a travel iron 🙁 Not so good for ironing much of anything.
Holly says
My iron is useless. It never completely gets the wrinkles out of the fabric I am trying to work. It doesn’t even get hot enough anymore to iron fusible facing to fabric! I NEED a new iron.
ChrisTea says
I already know that the Rowenta’s are superior to any other iron! I know a number of other people who have one and nothing beats it. All of them have told me they would never part with it. I would absolutely LOVE to have one os these irons.
Thank you!
Kathy says
I lost my current iron in the pending divorce and could really use a Rowenta especially if I were to win it! Thank you!
lorna klotz says
hello!
i would really like to win this iron as i have watched “sewing with nancy’ who has used this brand for years!
Colleen says
My iron is no match for a Rowenta because it leaks water and the water comes out brown. Not only do I have to re-iron my clothes but re-wash and dry as well.
Meredith Barrett says
My current iron is broken and is currently acting as a doorstop rather than pressing the wrinkles out of any of my clothes. I am a fan of pristinely ironed clothing and this iron would be a glorious addition to my collection of Type A Personality insanity keepers (along with my multitude of organizational tools and cleaning products). Also, I am in medical school (aka my income is negative 40,000 dollars a year) so winning an iron instead of replacing my worthless doorstop would be a true blessing. Please pick me 🙂
Helen says
Hi. I was using my favorite iron which is about 35 years old till my mom got me a new one about 5 years ago. Between the two of them, I may get a nicely ironed shirt or quilting seam. Several friends of mine have a Rowenta and they love it. They’re always telling me how nice it is to use–the cordless feature sounds wonderful. Also I’m curious about the thumb rest as it sounds like a useful feature. I also like the idea of non-spilling water for the steam feature.
Thanks for offering this opportunity!
Best,
Helen
Christy Petrosky says
My current iron was a $5 purchase from a drug store during Christmas time. I can’t seem to get the temperature right and almost ruined my boyfriends graduation gown (he was giving a valedictorian speech when he received his Master’s degree). I feel like the worst girlfriend ever thanks to my cheap iron purchase.
ladybug says
My current iron is 36 years old, and although it still works, sometimes you have to coax it to get the jog done. I have yearned for a Rowenta for years
Melinda Wilson says
My current iron is no match for this sweetie because the iron I am using is one that my son took to college – enough said!!!
Garilyn says
The power steam and non-auto shut off would be a great feature while sewing all day!
Amanda P says
Well, I bought my current about 10 years ago. . . at WalMart. I’m actually surprised that it still works. It keeps on going and going, but I’m not sure that’s a good thing since I won’t get a new, better one until my current one gives out.
Christine says
This would just be the cherry on the top, for my new sewing/quilting room. Thank you for the oppertunity to try to win.
Stephanie says
My old iron is no match for this one because my old iron is….nonexistent! That’s right. I don’t have an iron and I need one for sewing!
Lisa says
I’m not really sure what I would do with such a nice iron; I hate my current one! Good luck to everyone!
Heidi says
My iron is no match because it’s something I picked up a cheap one just to use and now I use it almost daily!
serena says
well bc mine fell and the lid where you put the water in broke and now it leaks.=(
Leanne says
I have an old Rowenta that my daughter dropped practically every time she used it. As a result it no longer has any adjustments to the heat setting. I would love to have a new one that I can use on silks and delicate fabrics.
Jane T in NW Louisiana says
My iron is so old it doesn’t even know it is an iron. These are certainly some sleek models.
MrsHellbillyHero says
Mine is no match to ANY Rowenta. The coating on the bottom is flaking off. It’s pretty junky and doesn’t work very well. It was free so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much huh? Since I bought my mom a Rowenta as a gift doesn’t that entitle me to win one? lol
amy in ne says
My old iron leaks and the steam shot doesn’t work anymore. A new Rowenta would be fabulous! Thanks for the chance to win.
Deanna says
My iron seems to have forgotten how to make steam which is so essential for a good press when sewing. The Focus looks like a grand replacement for my current model.
Billie K says
I have an old black and decker that is probably between 12 and 15 years old….sounds like a reason to me…..grin.
Fran DeWitte says
Well, I’m sure the new Rowenta Focus will outdo
my old iron….but my OLD Rowenta will sure give it a run for it’s money!! If the Focus is
that much improved I’d love to give it a new
home….but you won’t be able to talk me out of
my old Rowenta!!! Quilting, sewing, oh, yes..
Julie says
Having owned a Rowenta a few years ago I am very aware of the quality difference to just about any other iron on the market. My current iron is a substantial iron with good steam, however, it weighs a ton and it gets very tiring using my iron for extended periods of time. I just wish my previous Rowenta hadn’t fallen on my tile floor…..
carla says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta, it’s kind of like me, it loses steam, and leaks sometimes! lol.
Nelly B. says
ahh! i have been wanting a Rowenta since i used my sister- in laws!! that thing was amazing! such a great iron! does not match to my iron at all! wow! i hope i get one! the handle on the rowenta is soooo nice! thanks!!
Christina C says
My current iron has many issues. It was a hand me down mini iron that spits water instead of steam. Leaks. Blows the circuit to my apartment when I turn it on and takes a long time to heat up. I would love to win the rowenta.
Teresa says
My first iron was very inexpensive and was purchased when I moved out of my parents’ house. That’s still the iron I have today. I use it more for crafting than for ironing and somewhere along the line, something got melted onto the plate. I’ve used Rowenta irons in the costume department of my daughter’s school – would love to own one myself!
Sylvia says
I would love to replace my iron with a new Rowenta! My current iron is a senior citizen, like me — it spits, sometimes leaks and is generally cranky!
Callie says
My current iron leaks water all over and is just a 9.99er from the grocery store… my ironing needs help!
Jacque Bruce says
My current iron is REALLY no match for a Rowenta: I can’t tell when I have filled it enough (can’t see through the window) and when I fill it, it drips all over my ironing board! Love that the Rowenta has a shielded fill spot, to prevent that! Hope I can win! Awesome giveaway!
Vena Oliver says
I’ve had my current iron since i was 21, I’am now 50! It has been thru 3 children and two husbands and many crafts, please help me. I’m the only one who knows how to use it, since all the settings have been rubbed off years ago!!
Arlene says
I want an iron that’s a hot mama…like me!
Naomi Peters says
My current iron is no match… or maybe it is? I have a Rowenta! It’s at least 10 years old and still in great shape. It was the best iron back then and I’m sure the new models will be the best today. I would love to win a new one… to compare! Thanks for the opportunity!
Lina says
I’ve had a new iron on my wishlist for some time and this one looks fantastic! Mine is mostly plastic and struggles to get wrinkles out of most fabrics, so it doesn’t hold a candle to this metal, high quality iron.
Meggan says
My current iron is no match because it has a really fat nose that can’t fit into the baby and little girl clothes I make!
Emily says
My iron leaks water and doesn’t heat up evenly- definitely no match for the Rowenta!
Vivian says
I have had my iron since 1972. It has travled from Indiana to Texas and back again. The steam works well as long as I remember to use only distilled water. I use it as well as a daughter who is learning to sew and quilt. A new iron would be great but this one works just fine too.
Courtney says
My old iron, is sad. But has history! Many burn marks (too hot for rayon?) : ) when my iron is happy, she is a sweet thing, auto shut off and all (takes care of me when I’m forgetful) but sometimes when I don’t use her as often as I should, she spits out icky brown juice on my favorite white shirt (of course right before I’m heading to church)
Teresa Matz says
My 15 year old “WMart” cheapy is no match for the Rowenta!
Nicole P says
What old iron? I don’t own an iron….yet. 🙂 Maybe I’ll own a new one soon? 🙂
Shelly E says
It just looks like it would kick my plastic coated irons butt!
shelly says
My splurge of steam quit working. Drats!!
Kristie says
My current iron is about ten years old. It was purchased when I was a recent college graduate for $15. It doesn’t steam and it has a pretty rounded tip. I can’t get to many parts of my projects. I would LOVE a new iron and the Rowenta Focus sounds fantastic. Thanks. kristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com
Loralynn says
Where do I begin??? First of all, I have been using the same iron for over 15 years. I’ve tried a couple of others, but they both died on me in less than a year…thank goodness I kept my old one! Mine leaks. It steams at inappropriate times…ouch! It also has a very round tip, so now that I am doing more applique, it doesn’t work so well!
Angela says
My current iron is so old and it has been dropped and abused throughout the years. I have been wanting a Rowenta for some time. These new models look fabulous! Thanks for the consideration.
Cassandra R says
OMG!! I NEED one! My iron is always dripping the water… therefore I’m constantly having to refill it, and the automatic off makes it incredibly annoying. i turn it on to get it hot but within the few minutes it takes me to get my fabric to it it’s already on auto-off. Ugh!
nomi says
Because I bought it when I was out of money, and I got the cheapest model I could find, and totally got what I deserved. The water stream actually sprays upwards.
Tracey Carlson says
This iron is so much better then the one that I swiped from my mother that’s actually older then I am.
I love the idea of actually having a steam iron that has steam. I’ve used a squirt bottle for so long that I’m not even sure I’d know what to do with the steam feature, but I’d love to find out.
kelly says
I have so much trouble getting the small, detailing ironed right with my current iron. Winning this would be lovely!
Carla Gray says
I need a new iron. I’ve had mine for 19 years. Mine needs to be put down. This one has so many nice features! Mine can’t even compare!
Melinda says
My old iron is no match because it is OLD! And I lived in a house with hard water for awhile and every once in awhile nasty yellow colored water or big chunks of minerals still come out of it when I’m working. I need a replacement because I’m always afraid of ironing white fabrics.
Wendy Sue Fellers says
My current iron is no match for the rowenta! I bought it on Black Friday because it was $6 and I was unemployed. It does not heat and I got what I paid for.
Linh C says
My current iron is supposed to be a back-up iron so I didn’t spend a lot of money on it. However, it has become my one and only iron, and it takes me so long to iron all of my husband’s dress shirts for work. I really want a Rowenta iron.
Sheramy says
My old iron is, well, totally misplaced — okay, it is lost. It is so old and useless I have forgotten where I put it. The Rowenta Focus rocks and I would never, ever lose it!
Marti says
My iron was a small old fashioned one that I used for years. I always thought it was ridiculous to spend a lot of money on an iron. How wrong I was. When mine finally died, I borrowed my moms Rowenta. What a great iron. No water spots, no burns, no odors. Clean, smooth and it gets the job done. I’m sold! Great iron, worth the price.
Jolen H says
My old iron is falling apart. I get water all over when I try to fill it, it doesn’t have a steam button. If I had a new iron I would iron with joy in my heart because of all the nice extra’s (the point, the water filling)!
Thanks!
Claudia Kerns says
I have always wanted a Rowenta iron, I just couldn’t afford it. I sew for an international ministry called “Dress A Girl Around the World” which is part of “Hope 4 Kids International”. We sew dresses for little girls all over the world, mostly pillow case dresses. They are adorable. My group sews for the children in the Kentucky Appalachian area, we’ve distributed many, many dresses for these little ones. The iron I am currently using is about 20 years old, and does it’s job, but a Rowenta would be WONDERFUL! BLESSINGS!
Nancy's Couture says
I would love to own a Rowenta iron! I have a Panansonic iron and it leaks any time I use the steam, which is almost always.
Henrietta says
My iron is no match because it leaks water all over everything whenever I try to steam. It’s a $3.00 yard sale find and while it is better than the 30 year old one I was using, it just frustrates me every time I use it!
Cindy Johnson says
My current iron is no match because shortly after I bought it it started leaking water everytime it’s turned on! My previous iron did the same thing. I keep them both put up and out of reach of small hands even when not in use because I can’t afford for it to stop working completely! I am a seamstress and when making my own bias tape (by hand) it is extremely difficult without being able to use steam! I would LOVE a wonderful, reliable iron to help make my projects much less stressful!
Brooke says
My iron doesn’t even iron my clothes well… that should be reason enough.
Deb Donovan says
The Focus sounds like the perfect iron for us. Living in a multi-generational home we have several family members with different ironing needs, and the Rowenta Focus sounds like it would more than meet our varied needs. I especially like the non auto turn off feature for my 88 year old Mom who loves ironing. She becomes frustrated when the iron we currently have keeps turning off when she takes a short break. And, for me, the precision tip will make ironing my mini quilts a breeze!
Christen Robinson says
I was just using my iron this morning for a tablecloth. After much frustration my tablecloth is STILL WRINKLED! It was just some cheapo thing I bought when I first got married. I didn’t even know they made such nice irons.
Gale Wiggins says
my current iron is no match for the rowenta, because it spits water most of the time instead of steam which creates delays for my creative genius 🙂
Sabrina Thompson says
My iron has a coating of goo on the bottom, that is only slightly more troublesome than the calcium build up in the holes. The water tank splashes out as you iron soaking the fabric. The iron turns itself off after 30 minutes so I am constantly crawling under the board to unplug and replug in the iron. The setting dials are worn and unintelligible. But those are my irons finer points!
cathy says
My current iron is no match to the Rowenta because its old, heavy and doesn’t heat well.
sarah wasemiller says
my iron is no match to the rowenta because, well, its old and leaves rust stains on anything that i try and iron…yuck! pick me!
Dogpackmomma says
My current iron can’t hold a candle to this new super Rowenta Focus! After my previous iron bit the dust I grabbed the first iron I found at some discount store – you get what you pay for! My current iron has no extra features & is very uncomfortable to use – my hand cramps & the cord must be 2 inches long! This home is ready for a real iron like the Rowenta Focus – an iron that I wouldn’t have to fight! Thanks & Happy Trails!
Karen says
If you could see my iron you would know!!! I love vintage. . .but not in an iron. I have had this iron for over 12 years and before that it belonged to my mom — for many many years. I am guessing it is probably close to 20 years old. I have lost track of the number of times I have had to scrub the bottom. The steam no longer works. Having a new iron would be wonderful. Having a rowenta would be like dieing and going to heaven!!!
Susan C. says
My iron leaks, and since the water reservoir is so small I’m constantly refilling it. A Rowenta would make my quilt projects go so much more smoothly! (Hee – smoothly. Get it?)
IRIS says
I need an updated iron!! Tired of mine spitting that white mineral deposit powder! A more pointed tip and the auto shut off option sound great to me! Thanks for the give-away!
Liz says
My current iron has bugs living in it. They somehow survive the steam cycle. It’s horrible.
kelly heger says
Wow! this would be great! the steam does not even work on my iron anymore. I have been wanting a new iron but since I sew so much I really wanted one that would enhance my fabrics. This iron sounds ideal! Sign me up!!
Michelle T says
My current iron is no match to the Rowenta because…it doesn’t seem to iron anything. It’s big and clunky and doesn’t work so well…
ViviansKitchen says
This little iron would rock for ironing all my little felt details and I love Rowneta so this is why my current iron is no match to the Rowenta.
Margaret says
The Rowenta Focus would change my world! My current iron just stopped working, and the cord is frayed! I would love to win this iron! Thank you!
Bridget says
Our iron is probably over ten years old. We have replaced the plug-because it would overheat. The steam function we have had to stop using because it only leaks water everywhere which creates a safety hazard and ruins projects that I attempt to work on. I would love a new iron!!!
Judy Towell says
My iron in no way compares to a Rowenta Focus because my iron does not work except on the highest setting and spits water instead of steam. Please, please let me win.
liz says
my current iron is non-existent – therefore, it is no match for the rowena! winning a new iron would be amazing!
Sarah says
To call my iron a “steam iron” is a misnomer since the steam is intermittent at best. I really could use a new iron!
Clare Groninga says
My old iron died while I was trying to make Christmas presents – so the Rowenta has to be better. I think the microsteam soleplate sounds like a huge advantage over my old one.
terri dobbs says
My iron is not really an iron, it doesn’t get hot enough to press….wrinkle release does come in handy..
Martha Patterson says
I am in need of a new iron, as I gave my iron to my niece when she was married, and I am using my brother’s. So anytime I use the iron I always worry that something is going to happen. Still love you site. Thanks for all the great ideas you pass along.
Sharon Sink says
As a sewer, I hear nothing but good things about Rowenta. I’m ready to check it out. Thanks.
Barrie Marsh says
My current iron is no match for Rowenta, I bought it because it was “cute” (it’s pink) And is completely basic!
Beverly says
I need a new iron that is man proof…My husband wears out an iron about every 3 months. If I win this one I thinking about hiding it from him. LOL
Amy Jensen says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta because I’ve got a cracker resevoir for the water so I can’t even use the steam feature. It also has a very dirty iron plate that can’t take any more washing. One of the buttons that produces steam is broken and doesn’t work properly. When the water resevoir wasn’t broken it didn’t hold a lot of water anyways. I could go on but I think it would be nice to have this precision iron to iron all that I need to iron.
Thank you for this great giveaway opportunity.
Moon
Theresa says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta because the steam function doesn’t so much steam as it does simply dribble all over the place.
leah mcchesney says
My iron is not even in the same league… the steamer…useless! It doesn’t get hot enough and I”ve always wanted to own a Rowenta!
Craftymaw says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta because it is way past its time. This one is ten time better. Thanks for a chance to win, keeping my fingers crossed. TIA
Diane S. says
My old iron cost $10.00 in the sale bin…nuff said…
Gina says
My old iron squirts water out when it’s supposed to release steam when I’m working on my crafts. Really sucks when you’re trying to iron a shirt youre about to wear.. =/
Marie says
My iron is the one my husband bought in basic training when he joined the Air Force in 1998. It has been through thick and thin and looks so beat up to boot!! A new Rowenta would be a god send!
Cindy says
My iron is a terrible old thing. It spits and sputters instead of steaming. It would be heavenly to have a new iron and this one looks fabulous.
Wendi says
Ooh! The Rowenta soleplate rocks with all the steam holes (not the 14 you get on most irons). My current iron sputters randomly and the auto shut-off shuts off about 37 seconds after it heats up. I wear a lot of wrinkly clothes these days.
Nichia says
My iron spews steam no matter the setting and will randomly leave black streak marks when I least expect it. Blech!
Regina says
Lets put it simply… it spits like a camel!!!
Kandice says
My iron is no match for this one because it was a $10 Walmart special from about 10 years ago! Thanks for the giveaway!
Emily Rush says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta. It is an old travel iron, where the handel no longer folds to be put away in its pouch, it does not have a steam setting, only had one temperature setting, and has fuse bead meltings all over the bottom from my younger sister. Above all of that, it has 110 and a 220 voltage setting that is extrememly easy to miss, half the time i do ending up with an iron that is not hot enough.
Saira says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta because I sliced thru the cord and my hubby has fixed it with electrical tape. It always runs out of water fast…well leaks out probably due to the fact that it has been dropped a few times. I have always wanted a Rowenta but haven’t made the purchase! Hope I win it would be fabulous and used everyday!!!
Fernanda says
My current shUts off while I am ironing lol
Pat says
My old iron frustrates me to no end. Doesn’t hold much water, steam very seldom works and constantly leaks making spots on what I am working on. Definitely not a match for the Rowenta which would be a blessing and joy to iron.
Paula Wirfel says
I’m not even sure where my old iron is! The last time I tried to use it, I found that the steam vents were clogged and the bottom of it coated with a brown tarnish. No amount of scrubbing would clean it all off. I stuck it somewhere, just in case I HAD to have an iron, but mainly, I just use my little crafting iron for touch ups now. I would LOVE to win one of these new irons!
Laura Lane says
The steam feature of my old iron doesn’t work very well. It also automatically shuts off when I use it while I sew.
Asteride says
Ohhh, my iron!!! It’s erratic and lunatic. I need a new one for sure.
Amy Westphal says
There would be no happier girl than me to win the Rowenta Focus. My old travel iron ruins everything with big rusty stains even if I have the steam turned off. A new iron would make me so happy i’d even iron my underwear.
Carroll Simmons says
My current iron is no match because its gone. I am iron less! My son took it with him when he moved to New York. So I am looking for a new iron now.
Amy Copeland says
My old iron is no match because the tip is too rounded to make crisp corners, the steamer spits water, and the auto shut-off turns it off too soon. I am excited for a chance to win!
Heather Feather says
Wow and i’ve been using a $20 one from Walmart~ I bet this baby works like no body’s business. **Fingers Crossed**
Donna R says
My present iron is so many years old that it barely has a steam feature on it. It spits water and it turns off pretty quickly. The Rowenta iron sounds like a dream come true. I’d love to win this one!
Julie Cistone says
I have an old Rowenta that doesn’t steam very well and shuts off after a short time ironing. I would love to win a good iron.
Betty Maple says
I made the mistake of buying a cheap iron and really need to upgrade. Please take me from Big Wheel to Jag!
adrian says
I do not have an iron ! but sure do need one
and heard this one is the best. thanks !
Ann Ring says
You’re fabulous iron would replace my black skillet that I have to heat up to press my quilt blocks. Running up and downstairs to the kitchen from my basement craft area is great exercise by time consuming. Think of how much faster my quilting blocks would be finished. You’re iron sounds like the best on on the block. If I win, I’ll be sure to let everyone know! Thanks for the offer!
Karen Huber says
My current iron has been dropped and it is not good for detail work. I also have to keep refilling it. It does not have a steam burst like the Rowenta. It would be so nice to have a good iron.
Natalie Doyle says
The iron I’m presently using is the worst I’ve ever owned; it’s light, I can’t tell if the shut-off is working properly. I’ve probably burned many $$ worth of electricity because of this. It also has a tendency to throw itself off the ironing board because of its weight. I’m going to be needing a better iron for projects I have planned, and have been checking ratings on Consumer Reports. It would be nice to win one of these Rowentas.
Kathi says
I went to use my iron and the steam splirtted out black junk tha ruined my canvas material I was using. It has no know so I only have one setting. I not sure what it even is anymore. Its ready for the scrap pile. I really do need to get a new one. I hope I win one!!!
Wendy Marani says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus! For the precision tip and the extra-large water tank alone…but my current iron has an auto-shutoff that makes it so difficult to use when sewing. I would LOVE this iron.
MJ says
My current iron leaks if I want steam so I’m using a fine mist spray bottle which isn’t really the same. I would love to have an iron that works properly not to mention one with such nice features – the ability to get into tight spaces – beautiful!
Claire says
I love the look of the Rowenta Iron. My Iron is on it’s “last legs”, if that’s what you say about a very old iron. I think it was one of the first irons that plugged in, so that tells you how old.I would love win this one but with so many names before me, i think i don’t stand much of a chance of winning, thanks anyway for this chance.
Sue says
A Rowenta iron has been on my wish list for a long time! I would love to win this.
Deb says
My old iron is one I bought my daughter years ago when she went to college. Of course, it had never used when I got it back. After using it I can see why. It is too lightweight. Every time I use it I say “I need to buy a Rowenta”. I have been coveting the Rowenta iron for a long time now!
Laura K says
I love the idea of the retractable cord on the Rowenta Focus – So much easier to store, and I can stop tripping over the cord on my old iron!! So much safer with a puppy and a little one in the house, too–less danger of one of them pulling it down on themselves.
Kelly Massman says
It seems more compact than my clunky one… kmassmanATgmailDOTcom
Joy Burkhart says
Anything would be better than my current iron! You can’t iron back and forth with it, somehow the soleplate catches the end of the fabric and curls it up! Would love to have this Rowenta Focus!
Susan SH says
Oh for a new iron that won’t turn off automatically, and one that sprays, and steams, and…works well. That’s why my old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus.
Joan Cain says
With an iron like this, it would be almost a pleasure to iron. Joan
Karen Norris says
I could sure use this mine is on its last leg!
Susie Allen says
Thanks for this opportunity to win a Rowenta iron. My current iron is a Rowenta. I had a friend suggest it many years ago. My husband was in the army so we moved many many times. My iron has been abused by movers and I have dropped it myself. It still meets my needs just not as well as it did. I was just looking at replacement of it and so hopefully I will win the new one. Again thanks for designing and making such an amazing iron. You rock!!!!!!!!!!!
BARB says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus. I have several and none of them iron worth two cents, they leak, spot and sputter all over the goods to be ironed.
Mary K says
My iron is at least 30 years old! It no longer steams without spitting & sputtering. I’d love to have this new Rowenta Focus. It would be a dream to use.
Mindie W says
My old iron is from my college days…way to long ago to mention in years. It leaks when there is water in it so I have to mist my clothes if they need a little steam. I could really use this for so many craft projects I have in mind.
Rita - Greer, SC says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta because instead of giving a brust of stream, it gives me water puddles.
Barbara Stanbro says
Mine is auto off. Hate that! I’d love a great iron likevthis.
Karen says
My current iron shuts off too quicky and then takes longer than I want to heat back up. I iron alot and love to iron, but would really like to have an iron that I like!!
JenJen P says
My current iron is bratty and spits at anything it attempt to iron.
Roechelle says
My current iron steam function doesnt work as well as I would like it too, water leaks out the bottom. I would love to win this iron thanks for the chance:)
Marilyn says
My current Rowenta, as wonderful as it is, goes through water too fast and shuts off too soon. Plus it’s hard to iron little details without burning your fingers (ouch).
Jacque says
My iron is old and bulky. This iron is so sleek looking and probably not near as heavy.
I’m crossing my fingers and wishing to win.
Christina says
My iron is no match for Rowenta Focus because it keeps burning in one spot. No matter how often I clean it the same spot always gets a burn mark. I iron on low and it doesn’t matter. Grrr!! Not pleasant for craft projects let alone clothing. The cord is also so short! Who irons right next to the outlet?
Ann says
I really would like to win this for my Mom. She quilts all the time. She takes many quilting classes. But on her very limited social security income can’t afford an iron this nice. (I am on an even more limited income but that isn’t the focus here). I KNOW that this would delight her. thanks
Sara Lynott says
Mine is just old and farty.
Jennifer says
Oh brother – my current iron is no match for this one cause mine is literally falling apart! I couldn’t even thrift it to the goodwill. Seriously! lol
Thank you for the chance to win!
Beth Lockwood says
My old iron is not a match because it spits out steam with brown sludge in it, totally ruining whatever I’m ironing! I can’t tell you how many shirts have been lost because I can’t get the stains out!
Nancy says
Oh, thanks so much for the giveaway! My iron is probably 15-20 years old, heavy, and I REALLY could use a new one. Plus, it doesn’t get that hot. I would love the new Rowenta Focus because it has a large water tank, powerful bursts of steam (mine is weak and leaky), and I like the slim body with pointy front to get into small areas. Also, the non-auto off feature is great when you’re working on a project. It looks wonderful!
Mandy Sybrowsky says
My poor iron will be 12 years old in June, and it is no match for the Rowenta Focus! It does not glide smoothly, it can’t get into tiny spots, and it is not even in the same galaxy as precise. Plus my steam shot spits brown gunk on my projects! And I am always waiting for it to reheat during the middle of a sewing project–that’s precious crafting time! You could not find a better (or more appreciative) candidate for the Rowenta Focus! And I promise to tell all my blog readers about it, too!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Sandy says
I’d love to get a Rowenta Focus — my old iron is on its last legs!
Emily says
My old iron is no match because it uses water like crazy! It drives me nuts to have to refill the water several times in a single large ironing project!! I would love the Rowenta Focus – thanks for a great giveaway!
Karen Quinn says
My current iron spits water and steam combined and runs me crazy. I have always wanted a Rowenta iron but could not afford one. Thanks for a chance to win one.
Janet Pierce says
My iron is definitely no match for the Focus. My iron cuts off all the time and I have to wait for it to heat back up, by them I’m so on to something else, then back to my iron again, and it’s starting to cool back down, then I have to fill the water up, ooooh, I need a new iron, help!!! I would love to win the new Rowenta Focus. Thanks for the giveaway, and good luck everyone.
Denise Malbrough says
My sad, old iron is no match for the Rowenta. She’s just like me, going through the change…some days she’s hot, some days she’s not! She won’t even get steamy anymore! I say it’s time to win a nice, new Rowenta and let her retire!! Thanks so much for the chance to win!!
Karen Gonyea says
My old iron is rusty and has a cord that is just about to start fraying.. I’ve been meaning to buy a new one, but keep forgetting.
Deborah says
My old steam iron “works,” as far as it goes – but it has NONE of the features of this Rowenta BEAUTY!
I am drooling over that PRECISION TIP and NON-LEAK dependability that you mentioned in your review! So NECESSARY for quality work on small, detailed, fragile vintage pieces!
Please, please pick ME!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS GIVEAWAY!
Michelle Mathey says
My old iron is no match to the Rowenta since it is about 18 years old and is decrepit!!
Aubrey says
My iron can’t compare to a Rowenta! It’s a tiny travel iron that doesn’t get very hot and is too small to iron much 🙁
Jeanne says
My iron can’t compare to this Rowenta beauty. I have used it forever and would so much appreciate this new one.
Peg Cooper says
My iron only cost 10 dollars nuf said. I used a Rowenta once at a relatives house and fell in love what a difference a quality iron makes. I would especially like the tip this is great for all those pleates and gathered jobs. Can’t wait to win!
Sylvia says
It drives me crazy when my iron turns itself off five minutes before I’m ready to iron the next set of quilt blocks!
Jackie says
My old (old being the key word) iron is no match because it spits, sputters and leaks.
Lucy says
My iron is full of brown baked-on goo on the bottom even after scrubbing and cleaning 🙁 It goes through water so fast, I have to constantly refill the resevoir. Pick me!
mary marshall says
My old iron dribbles and spits. It is my understanding that is not normal. Also the FOCUS wound not dare be so uncouth.
Corrie says
My old iron is definately no match, because it stopped working today!
Robyn says
I was just thinking the other day that I need a new iron
Suz says
This would answer all my questions, . . . why are there still wrinkles in this ? . . . I would cherish a gift like this.
Trixie says
Gee, this Rowenta looks beautiful and is so current. The iron I am using now I bought in 1993 when I got engaged and moved to Alaska. It doesn’t have an automatic shut-off. It no longer has a steam pulse. It just squirts out boiling hot water. It’s fallen off the board a few times and now has pieces broken off. I clean it religiously, however, it is now resisting all attempts to clean it.
I love irons and all the things you can do with them. I would totally treasure a beautiful, new iron.
Thanks,
Trixie
Joyce says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta because it has fallen off the ironing board several times and some of the plastic is cracked.
Susan says
Since my iron almost caught fire last week, this Rowenta would be the perfect replacement!
Pat says
Well see my is no match for the Rowenta because its just a plain ole ordinary iron, just a plain ole plain ole. My husband is a pastor and I use a iron ALLLLL THE TIME, believe me we do a whole lot of ironing! Would love to have a not good one but great one!
Cari Perkins says
My iron is no match! The cover is worn from the bottom due to the years of wear and the steam has been clogged several times. I iron as I sew and craft so a new Rowenta would be WONDERFUL!!!
nitasha says
My old iron is exactly that “OLD”!!! she spits water on our clothes and turns on only when she wants to! So, I’m certain she is no match for a brand spankin’ new Rowenta!
Jeanette says
My iron I use now is rusty and worn out…. I would love a new fancy Rowenta!
VickiT says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta because it has no precision tip and the darned thing turns off ALL the time and way too early. I’m starting to do quilting and with that comes a lot of sewing of small pieces of fabric and then over to iron the seams, then back to the machine to stitch more piees together. It never fails that every single time I need my iron it’s turned off AGAIN and then I waste time waiting for the thing to reheat again and again …………and again. ugh. I NEED an iron that I can shut off the auto off. That seems like a dream to find one now adays that you can do that. I have searched and haven’t found any that do not have the dreaded auto-off setting.
darla says
Rowenta iron wow that would make someone happy to win it . i only use for crafts . but there would use it all time
nice have to iron craft things with sometimes .happy craft month
Virginia says
I have to say I have a rowenta iron at present but I think its going to go soon as I have used it for many years. I actually love ironing and love to have things pressed and looking good. I also use it for sewing and craft projects and I like to have a lot of steam as I make things with wool and it delivers lots of steam. I would love to win this iron and can attest how good they are.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Carol says
Everything about the new Rowenta is better than my OLD one. I like the idea of a closed fill tank and the pressure tip.
Debra says
My iron is so old I sometimes think I need to put it in the fire to heat it up 🙂
The tip on this one looks great for all those sewing projects!
Natalie says
Ohhhh I want this iron sooo bad! My poor iron was a super cheapy cast off from my sister. The lid for the little water tank for steam is broken so I can’t steam anything unless I want it leaking all over. My mom has the most wonderful Rowenta iron and she actually loves to iron!
Liz says
My current iron is a Rowenta that I have had for many years. It is a great iron, but is showing the years of use and abuse. I would love to win a new Rowenta iron.
Molly says
My current iron was purchased as part of a set that included the iron, a toaster & a coffee maker (all very cheap/of a cheap brand). We probably paid about $20 for the entire set… Yeah, I need a *real* iron. Esp. now that I am crafting all the time!
Candy says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because it has been used for many things no iron should be used for – like raising the grain on a gun stock. Husbands!!!!!!
Eve says
My iron is no match for the new Rowenta irons because it has been dropped so many times that it is no longer even a steam iron. When you put water in it, it just drains out!
Rochelle says
No auto shut-off, a skinny tip, lovely puffs of steam!!!! This iron would absolutely blow my iron away (as well as improve the quality of my projects).
Bridget Brusherd says
How much better can this iron be?
I love my Rowenta!
Artt says
Well, my old iron is no match because it is so old I have to set it two settings higher than I really want it to get it warm enough to use!
Randi says
This is easy! My current iron is no match for the Rowena because it is coming apart between the plastic and the metal ironing plate. Also, instead of shooting a nice spray of steam, water leaks out all over the place and leaves huge wet spots on whatever I am ironing. Even on the lowest setting it burned through something I tried to iron (well ok, maybe that was my fault.) I guess you get what you pay for, right?
Becky says
Arrgh. My current iron is bi-polar! One day it will heat up but the steam won’t work. One day it will heat and steam but the spot sprayer will spray left or right but not straight. The only this that works consistently is the cord retracter!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Julie says
Craft iron? haha. I don’t own one. I use my clothing iron for my craft projects. EEK!!
Thanks for this giveaway!
Sandra says
My iron is starting to pull at my fabric. Not good. I would love an iron specifically for sewing/crafting!
Sandra Sullivan-Perez says
My iron is definitely no match for the Rowenta! It has 2 settings lately. Steam is belch massive amounts of scalding water everywhere — dry is what can I scorch and ruin today?
I don’t use this iron anymore as I am terrified of it! The Rowenta seems like dream; compared to that nightmare!
Tatiana F. says
Mine is so hard to fill up with water!
Patricia Gagalis says
My mother has an older model of your iron I would love to win this for her as she is now making bridesmaid and flower girl dresses for my nephew,s upcoming wedding. Not the first wedding she has done.
Kim ~ The Sassy Crafter says
Funny enough, one of my New Year’s Resolutions was “focus.” I often get sidetracked by all the craft and sewing projects that I have in mind, so sometimes I need help focusing. Having a Rowenta “Focus” iron would be a real help because my current iron can be quite temperamental, sputtering puddles of water across my fabric as I try to press it.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Cyd says
I could donate my old iron completely to crafting with my GS troop! Instead of trying to remember where the box is whenever I need it! Getting hard to clean the gunk from various girls using it!
nik says
My old iron is 20+ years old and drips large puddles instead of gently steaming. The Focus looks fantastic…thanks for the giveaway!
Jeremy says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because using a cast iron skillet and blowtorch to heat it just isn’t very time-conscious!
Diane says
I actually own a Rowneta but the steam aspect of it no longer works, probably because it is old and been pulled off the ironing borard one to many times. Would love to win the Rowenta Focus iron it would make life so much easier:)
Melanie says
My current iron is no match because the steam gauge seems to be broken. When I’m trying to iron sometimes no steam comes out, and at other times way too much steam comes out! Not only is this annoying, there is a very real risk of getting a steam burn!
Margaret says
O MY ! My iron is a hot spot(no pun intended!!) between my hubby & I … our current iron makes all kinds of spots on my clothes… very frustrating.
I would LOVE a NEW ROWENTA IRON! I hear sooo many god things about them!!! YAY!!! I hope i win this iron to beat all other irons!!!! My LAST IRON FOR GOOD!!!! YAY!
Gale says
I would love to have a new iron. I don’t know were my old one is. lol
Connie says
Mine is no match because I don’t have one! I happen to be in the market for one as I start up some sewing projects for the Spring! Thanks for the chance!
Pat says
My current iron “spits” on the clothes and doesn’t have a narrow tip to do the tight areas on my clothes and quilting projects. These new irons look awesome! 🙂
quiltenvy says
My old iron is no match because I can’t use steam anymore! Leaks all over..sigh
abitnerdy says
Oh my goodness, such a big fan of Rowenta!
My current iron is no match for Rowenta because its a down right challenge to get the hard to reach places.. between buttons and stuff. Also its takes a while to heat up, I’d turn it on, go brush my teeth, floss, mouthwash, brush my hair and still no go… not to mention I share it with the entire household and it does not hold up to the wear and tear from harsh handling.. plus it leaks. So, My iron is no match for the sleek Rowenta, it just doesn’t compare in power, usage, convenience, and durability!
The Modern Lady - Beth Hawks says
Without fail, everytime I sew and iron something… the iron drops off the board and smack onto my wood floors. The water spout cap has been ripped off and it is almost to the point of no return. A new iron would be phenomenal.
Keri says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta because it lacks the precision tip. This feature would be great when ironing my quilt pieces. What a treat it would be to win a new iron!!
marie beck says
my iron has interfacing stuck on it and the steam only works when it feels like it… which is not all that often 😛
Kelly W says
Well, I have never used a Rowenta, let alone one of these models, but I’ve heard wonderful things. I would love to put away my cheap, temperature inconsistent iron for a better one. Hope to win!!!
Carah Kristel says
My Iron is no match for the Rowenta, after years of trusty service it now makes a fabulous paper weight.
Kathryn says
I don’t have an iron right now……..so, I’d love to win.
Erin H says
Oh, wow. Where to start? The front tip of mine is anything but precise as it has been dropped and dented more than once. The fabric settings have long ago worn off, so it’s kind of a guessing game when it comes to temp control! And, I’d love an extra large water reservoir. When I get on a roll steaming, mine always seems to run dry! Mine is certainly no match for those shiny Rowentas!!!
Terri says
My iron is soooo old and it only gets hot in certain spots now. I need a new one!
Helen- Miss Mermaid says
My current iron was $17 and has been dropped more times than I can count!
Adelie says
I had to give up my old iron when I moved from France to the US a few weeks ago, so I’m presently… ironless! My old one became so noisy (yes, believe it or not, an iron can be noisy) and capricious that I won’t really regret it. One of those irons would be a great replacement for clothes as well as for sewing!
Joni says
Boy, I really need a new iron. Mine is the $10 special from Wal-Mart that is about 20 years old. It is a wonder I have not burned down the house yet!!
Lisa S says
My current iron not all that hot
Sharon Pernes says
Mine old iron spills water out all the time. I would love a nice new iron to keep my projects dry. And would also love to not have to wait every time to let the iron heat back up.
Laurie M says
My current iron is no match what so ever. It has a mind of its own, it spits at me and refuses to warm up to me. I’m starting to get a complex, thinking there must be something wrong with me. No..I will not give up I know there is something out there better for me. I’d hate to be unfaithful, but I just need a change. The Rowenta is causing me to flirt with idea of looking for something that will ‘get the job done’. I’m waiting for you Rowenta to come and ‘steam’ me off my feet!
Pat says
My husband is a pastor. Need I say that I iron a WHOLE LOT!
kim n says
The Rowenta name is a sign of quality and would be such an improvement on my box store, gunk covered, pathetic little iron I have now!
Ellen says
My current Rowenta is no match for the Rowenta Focus as the new model has features I would definitely utilize with the quilting and home decor sewing that I love to do. Thanks!
Mary Coleman says
I was reading about this iron just the other day.Yes!!! The Rowenta is just what it is…a TOOL!!! Just like men need their tools so do us women! What a gift it would be to have this.Mine is rusty and old and dirties up things I use it on. Thanks.
Judy Gilstrap says
My iron is no iron, it is now a paper weight and without a good iron a quilter is lost! I would love to win this iron. Thank you!
Sarah says
My iron spits water instead of spray or steam, it has stuff melted to the bottom of it from putting backing on, its a mess. I need to go get a new one, until then I borrow my neighbors.
Judy says
My iron fell off the top shelf of the closet about a month ago so even if it pressed corners and handled small details edges like the Rowenta, it doesn’t anymore….. Thanks for the chance to win a new and innovative iron.
mdpitts says
My poor old iron. It’s been a workhorse but the soleplate seems to have lost it’s glide and it leaks more than steams. I am in a sad state with my iron as it just can’t compete with the newer Rowenta irons.
Molly
Lorraine says
I have a Rowenta iron which I love, but it is getting old and has been used and abused. I would love a new iron!
diane says
my old iron is no match, because I have no idea where it is, I just moved and the iron did not make it????
edie says
I would love to win a new iron and I promise to do my best to keep the fusible webs from melting onto it! LOL!
edie
Mia V says
Well given that the iron I am currently using is a Rowenta means that replacing a Rowenta with anyting but a Rowenta wold be useless. The one I am currently using is over 10 years old and needs to be replaced. It is starting to leak of I forget to wait until it is hot before adding water for steam. I love Rowenta irons for their ease of use and their durability.
Meg K says
I bought a cheap iron, well you obviously you get what you pay for 🙁 It doesn’t even have a spritz mechanism! Ugh, I’ll never do that again! I’d love to have a great iron that works really well, that would be really nice 🙂 Thanks for this contest!
Jill Hubbard says
My current Rowenta has a crack in it from my cat knocking it over would sooo love a new one!
kate says
mine is no match because it’s a sunbeam. need I say more?
Emily Carter says
My iron is no match compared to this Rowenta iron! Mine leaves white specks on black clothes, spits water and is a pain to use! This Rowenta iron would be amazing – possibly make ironing fun???
Catie says
I LOVE Rowenta irons – I have the power glide 2 and it is a keeper – however I took it to a quilt retreat this past weekend and it never ever got turned off – it was the favorite iron there – needless to say I trtied to use it yesterday and it did not heat 🙁 I think it is tired tired tired of not being turned off from Thurs at 4pm until Sunday at 2pm. The new focus would be a gem and it would NOT get to go to camp LOL
Catie
Lois says
My iron is no match for Rowenta!!!! My sister in laws own a drapery shop and they used Rowenta irons which I have had the pleasure of using. There is NO comparison. With the economy the way it is, their Rowenta died and they went to another cheaper brand due to budget crunches which doesn’t do the job nearly as nice. I would love to surprise them with a new Rowenta.
Thanks for the chance to win one.
clarissa says
my iron spews rust. so, i turn off the steam option, and get white flakey stuff on my clothes and crafts from the starch. the iron is so heavy, my wrist actually hurts after using it. it’s so heavy it doesn’t stand upright. when it falls to the floor, i fear for my toes! i love rowenta so much! i would love to win this iron and kiss my old one good-bye!!
Betty MacKenzie says
My very old Black & Decker iron, which was probably manufactured during the Dust Bowl days is currently being used as a door stop.
Please pick me for the awesome Rowenta iron because I desperately need a reliable iron for all my sewing/crafting projects.
Thanks for the great opportunity.
Betty MacK
Patti Harris says
Let’s see – why is my iron no match for the Rowenta – well, its been dropped, it leaks, the case is cracked, and overall, it just doesn’t have a ‘leg to stand on’ against the Rowenta. The Rowenta ROCKS!!!
Sonya says
I have loved every Rowenta iron that I’ve ever had. My current Rowenta, a Precision, has been taken on one or two many locations over the past 12 years and has just started leaking like crazy, the past month or so. I’d love an upgrade, and if I don’t win I’ll have to get the Focus somehow for my new sewing/laundry room.
Gail Whiting says
WOW–You guys know the way to a womens heart!!
Having a new iron would be HEAVENLY. I have lots of darling Grandaughters and make heirloom dresses for them. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A NEW IRON!!!!!
Pat Upton says
My little old iron is old and leaky. It will hold water for one session but leaks out the bottom too. I would love one of these fantastic new Rowenta irons!
maryc says
Unlike that old spray paint commercial, my current iron drips, runs, and makes lots of errors! This Rowenta looks like it could “paint the town,”
Shirley Sander says
Sadly, I think I have had my cheap iron for 15 years. I have to be careful when using the steam function because it sometimes will stain my fabric! I’m a quilter and also make clothes for myself and my children. Oh how I would love this Rowenta!!!
Anne says
I have an older Rowenta and absolutely love this brand! It is time for an upgrade though…
Jan Farrell says
My old iron is no match for the Rowena Focus because my old iron is OLD! The poor old thing is about 15 years old with a worn out soleplate and a tendency to spit at me. The shot of steam stopped shooting years back and it’s capacity for water seems to lessen every year.
I don’t mean to be disloyal to my old iron, because we have been around the block together. We’ve ironed miles of clothes and quilts, and we’ve really had many pleasant times. But dearest old iron, I don’t want to hurt you, but it’s time to retire. You deserve some time on the shelf, just hanging out. Someone young and strong (with a huge water capacity and high precision tip) should replace you. You could train it.
The Rowena Focus would love it here at my house, in my sewing room, listening to stories of the past from my old iron, singing old songs, and bonding with me. I will be a great owner…
Emily C says
i would love to upgrade my old iron. it just doesn’t work the way it used too and a new one would really help me when i sew and quilt.
Christine says
I would love to have a Rowena iron. My iron is no match for the Rowena the dogs knocked the iron over into a plastic bag, and now what a mess! Thank you for the oppertunity to win a new iron.
carolyn young says
I really need an iron as my Rowenta steamer just quit. I used it so much for clothing and steaming curtains/drapes. I’m sure an iron would do the job as well. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
Jesy says
my iron is no match for the Rowenta .. my iron is a old Rowenta that worked perfect until a week ago my boyfriend knocked it off the ironing board.. it was on and hit the ground hard.. now its dripping water onto the fabric whenever i don’t use the steam function.. which.. as you know.. 🙁 not good.. I loved my iron.. my momma passed it down to me.. worked amazing.. till.. that fatal fall..
Crystal says
My iron is no match because it’s just a WalMart special el cheapo that I have had for nearly 9-10 years now. When you want to use the steam it just sputters out water. It’s so frustrating!
stephanie cannon says
My iorn has nothing on this one. No longer can I feel it with water unless I want my item to be drenched! Plus this iron has a great tip that looks like it would iron small things well!!

Sasha says
My iron is very old and the heat isn’t consistent anymore. 🙁

My iron was a hand me down from my grandmother. It’s a Sunbeam Vista that leaks water so I don’t use the steamer. The cord isn’t plastic it’s a blue mesh cord. It works great but I would love something a little newer. 🙂
Sarah says
My old iron was trashed in the process of moving. I am ready to start crafting and must have an amazing iron like this to help me out!
Chel says
I used to have this iron that you could not use the steam function on. If you tried, it just spit water, so I had to use a spray bottle. It has since died and I haven’t been able to find an affordable, decent iron since. Thank you for the chance to win!
Emilitza says
MY iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because its a Walyworld *cough Walmart cough* cheapy brand. It is only a year old but already spits out water when ever I steam something. I can even tell when its about to do it by the sound it makes. So either I have mad skillz or am just a tad crazy to still be using it.
Dessah says
My current iron is no match for the Rowenta because it is a cheap ($8.00) iron from the Dollar store. It’s coming apart and most importantly, it has NO auto shut off. It was once left on for 7 days! I could have burned down the house!
Loreen Boult says
I currently have a Focus. It’s done impeccable work for the past 9 years!
I would LOVE to replace it with your marvelous model. Once you tried Focus….you can NEVER go back:).
Louise Knight says
I have a Rowenta for everyday ironing but this one looks like the perfect solution for my craft/sewing room. Rowenta irons are the best!

I wish I had a Rowenta iron. It is the cadillac of irons.

I have the worst luck with iron, I have to purchase a new one every other year, either they stop steaming, or are to heavy, too light, SOMETHING always seems to go wrong! I hope to win this one, it sounds like just the thing!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
Pam Lucas says
I know this sounds weird, but I love to iron. I have always wanted a Rowenta Iron. I considered it when I purchased my last iron and darn I should have went for the Rowenta. I love the way they work. A friend of mine has 1 and I have used it. I love the precision tip and how well it works on small items. My iron can’t hold a stick at the Rowenta. I iron everything, especially when I am crafting. I sure hope I WIN….Thanks for the opportunity to enter.
Bridget says
My iron is as old as my son, so to be 19. It’s held up through ironing scout shirts and ironing on patches. It made it to the last patch eagle. But a new iron would be great, now if I can get my daughter to sign up for girl scouts .
Kay M. says
My iron is no match for the Rowenta because my daughter let it flip over on the carpet and carpet melted to it. Now I need a new iron and new carpet!
Julie Ann says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus Iron because it is nonexistant! I don’t have an iron, but I’d love to add one to my crafting tools to straighten out my vintage trims and press papers that have had a little accident! 🙂
PattyAnne says
I have never had a steam iron that worked right. 🙁
Susan Mast says
My steam iron is OLD. I don’t like the way it dribbles water as I’m ironing. I iron my clothes for work almost every day! I’d happily retire my old iron and spray bottle for a beautiful new iron!

How cool is this er I mean how hot is this! My old iron is on its last leg. Hope I win!

I don’t have an iron and I’ve been stacking my quilt squares under a hefty book trying to smooth out as much as I can. This Iron would be a wish come true. My grandmother never used an iron much – I learned to improvise a LOT!
Danya Michael says
My current iron is no match because it’s older than I am. I am caring for my elderly grandparents and living in their house. I gave up my stuff when I moved in and I’ve tried using their iron for crafting. It’s from about 1968 and I fear for my life every time I use it.
HELP! I need this!
Karen Vradelis says
I love my old Rowenta – but it’s elderly and seriously needs to be replaced. I’ve abused it to a point beyond usefulness; made the mistake of trying to buy a cheap knock-off… Wasted money. Pick me!

Wow! I really love those fine pointed tips of the irons – they really would aid both in ironing clothes AND crafting. My old iron is just no match – the blunt tip is NOT good with
corners and buttons. Thanks for the chance to win!
Alicia says
Oh dear–my iron is literally rusting from the inside out. I’d love a chance at this beauty!

My current iron is no match for the Rowenta because the steam blast is just too weak. I’d love a good, strong blast of steam, just what I need when working on a sewing project!
Paula says
I need a new iron. My iron has been dropped so much that it no longer holds water for the steam function.
Michelle says
My old iron is no match for the Rowenta Focus because, although I have no official documentation, I am sure Betsy Ross used it to make the American flag.
Katherine M. says
I really like the look of these irons – those
sharp tips would do clothing and crafts better. My old iron is a real pain around buttons and in tight corners. I’d love to win one. stitchkat

I’m using my grandmother’s 15 year old cheap iron. I’ve needed a new one for a long time, but it is such a boring purchase that even though I know it would greatly improve my life, I haven’t managed it yet.
Cathy MT says
Since I already own a Rowenta, I’d say my iron is a close second. However, I’m impressed by this model because of the precision tip, which looks very useful indeed, and also because it won’t spill water so I could use it safely on paper and delicate craft projects. Each iron has it’s own best qualities. This looks like the perfect one for crafting.
