Fundraising for Bronwen

July 12, 2013 by Cathi Milligan

5916_10151546459784302_656074433_nOne of my favorite glass artists on the planet, Bronwen Heilman is conducting a special sale through a private Facebook page to do a bit of car repair fundraising. We want to give the lovely lady a bit of assistance in this. Go to her Facebook page and message her if you’re interesting in joining the sale. Her beads are so cool you can’t go wrong picking up a few things. And it’s for a good cause. We all need a bit of help now and then, right?

Wrap Yourself in Brilliance: Crochet Your Own Shawl or Scarf

Elevate your wardrobe with the Brilliance Shawl, a stunning crochet accessory that adds a touch of elegance to any outfit. Available in both scarf and shawl sizes, this versatile pattern offers endless styling possibilities. With a width of 18 (34) cm / 7” (13.5”) and a length of 226 (218) cm / 89” (86”) when steam blocked, the Brilliance Shawl provides ample coverage and drapes beautifully around your shoulders.

Crafted using basic stitches like chains, single crochet, double crochet, and decrease stitches, this pattern is suitable for crocheters of all skill levels. The design begins with a square motif, from which each side of the shawl/scarf is worked off of opposite sides/corners.

Whether you choose to crochet the scarf or shawl version, you’ll need just the stated number of skeins to complete your project in style. The scarf requires 430 m / 470 yds of Color A (Yellow) Dahlia Mixo and 206 m / 225 yds of Color B (White) Friends Wheel, while the shawl uses 348 m / 380 yds of Color A (Yellow) Dahlia Mixo and 777 m / 850 yds of Color B (White) Friends Wheel.

Get ready to wrap yourself in brilliance and showcase your crochet skills with this captivating pattern!
