10 Autumn Floral Cards

Kelly’s stunning Fall floral card has a beautiful foiled frame on the base with layers of die cut flowers in deep Autumn colors. The rings of wood give a nice light layer for the darker botanicals, leaves and large title, all of which have been ink blended for detail and depth. Visit the Papertrey Ink blog for a step by step tutorial.

It might seem like flowers are fading this time of year but there’s still lots of blooms in bright yellows, oranges and reds to match the Fall leaves turning colors. You can include those bold color combos on your handmade cards with lots of florals that work so well for many different occasions during Autumn. Let’s get some inspiration from some fresh new stamped and die cut card ideas that perfectly incorporate Fall Florals.

A single bloom can say so much, like on this pretty Thank You card. The Marigold is die cut with inking added, notice how the color get darker towards the center for dimension. There’s some gems and splatter on the panel and a mixed sentiment with heat embossing, die cutting and stamping. Take a closer peek at the Altenew blog.

Diane used a masking technique to include a cute scarecrow in the middle of a field of lovely sunflowers. She used Tombo Markers to watercolor her stamped images. There’s also a couple of fun Fall pattern papers and some tied twine too. Find directions on how to mask a scene on the Art Impressions blog.

Kelly’s card is like a warm cozy hug with a quilt inspired stenciled and stamped background. There’s another stamped layer and a die cut frame layer with heat embossed sentiment and lastly a tile dry embossed square on top. And all around she’s tucked in sweet die cut flowers. Find more details at The Greetery blog.

Amy’s beautiful design has deep colors of burgundy, orange and green with a cross hatch die cut on the card base and an intricate die cut frame. Inside the frame is a bouquet of die cut flowers and a large white sentiment that really stands out. Glitter and splatter add some nice texture too. Watch her tutorial video at the Prairie Paper and Ink blog.

Mindy created a trio of fabulous Fall flower cards with just one stencil set. She inked the layering stencils in oranges and greens and used the coordinating dies to cut them out and then sprinkled them with some gems on the white card bases. A bold black stamped and die cut sentiment finish off the clean and simple designs perfectly. Learn more at the Altenew blog.

Jill create a wonderful shaped card with a die cut embroidery hoop for the base. The inside circle has a blue wash of watercolor, a stamped sentiment and some pearl gems. But the focal point are the flowers that have been die cut and also water colored with faux stitching added. Take a closer look at the Penny Black blog.

Wow, check out the realistic coloring on this Mum card from Rick. His flower fills up most of the panel and is colored with alcohol markers with colored pencil touches for an amazing design. The blue background helps it really pop too. There’s also a stamped sentiment banner and tied twine to finish it off. Find all the details at the Unity Stamps blog.

Mix those Fall florals with leaves and pumpkins for the perfect Autumn card design. All the botanical elements on this design were die cut from colored cardstocks and placed on a trendy arch along with a foiled gold sentiment. Watch Kim’s video tutorial on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.

Pre-print and foiled images make it quick and simple to create a beautiful Autumn floral card in no time. The card base has colorful leaves with a copper foiled frame over top and layers of flowers, leaves and even a butterfly in coordinating colors along with a foiled sentiment too. Visit the Anna Griffin blog for a closer look.

I hope you find time to stop and smell the Fall florals!
