Favorite Things Holiday Collection from Yankee Candles

November 2, 2011 by SandraW

“My Favorite Things” is Yankee Candle Company’s newest limited- time holiday candle collection. They come in jars, tumblers and pretty packaged votives.

Does anyone remember “My Favorite Things” from the movie The Sound of Music? “When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad!” It’s stuck in my head now.

New Yankee Scent Names:

The new scents include these favorite things from the song: Warm Woolen Mittens, Blue Satin Sashes, Crisp Apple Strudel, Raindrops on Roses, Bright Copper Kettles and Moon on Their Wings.

“We really challenged ourselves with this project to bring memories of this inspired song to life through fragrance,” said Hope Margala Klein, senior vice president, brand, design and innovation for The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. “What do ‘warm woolen mittens’ smell like? You’ll have to pick up a jar and find out and be sure to collect them all, they will not be in stores long!”

According to the press release, Warm Woolen Mittens smells like “just cleaned and warmed by the stove … a cozy scent with notes of lemon, apple, lily and musk.” It sounds divine.

Find the new collection in stores, gift shops or at YankeeCandle.com.
