I love meeting new glass artists. Here’s a fantastic one too. His name is Evan Chambers and his studio is Pavonine Glass. Please check out his gorgeous work. He’s a glass blower as well as a metal fabricator. I saw his work at an opening the other night and had to share it with all of you. The glass is raked creating a feathering around the pieces as well as being iridescent.
Evan learned his craft in the San Luis Obispo area in Central California first from George Jerich and then later with Ken Peterson at the Glass Art Studio. After a year he bought the studio with his business partner, Elaine Hyde. Evan have since moved his studio, Pavonine Glass to Pasadena (yay!).
