Enchanted Coast Wrap – Crochet Pattern

August 17, 2025 by Shellie Wilson

Like a sea breeze in yarn form — calming, romantic, and utterly spellbinding.

If a crochet pattern could bottle the feeling of standing by the ocean, watching the tide roll in with your toes in the sand — this would be it. The Enchanted Coast Wrap is dreamy, delicate, and currently trending for all the right reasons.

This isn’t just a wrap. It’s an experience — meditative, rhythmic, and made to be savoured stitch by stitch.

Designed by Expression Fiber Arts, the Enchanted Coast Wrap features elegant eyelets, gentle lace work, and that long, drapey shape that makes it wearable in a dozen different ways. It’s one of those pieces that elevates even the simplest outfit — over a sundress, draped with denim, or cozied around your neck with a coat.

It’s worked lengthwise in one piece, which gives those lovely horizontal striping effects if you use a hand-dyed or gradient yarn. I used a soft fingering weight with a subtle sheen and the result? Pure magic.

Don’t let the lacework intimidate you — the stitches themselves are straightforward (think chains, double crochets, and easy repeats). It’s a calming kind of make, and once you’ve got the rhythm, it flows effortlessly.

The pattern is beautifully written — clear, clean, and supported with photos and tips. As always with Expression Fiber Arts, there’s a real emphasis on enjoying the process, not just racing to the finish line.

This wrap really shines in tonal or gradient yarns, especially those with soft colour transitions that mimic seafoam, sunsets, or misty mornings. Fingering or sport weight is ideal, and if you’ve got a luxury skein you’ve been saving for something special — this is the project.

I’ve also seen it made in earthy tones and deep jewel colours, and it’s stunning every time. It’s one of those patterns that adapts beautifully to your personal palette.
