  25. We just saw a demo at the Maker’s Faire and these looked great. So much you can do with them. We used the one there to carve into leather…pretty awesome!

  98. Many years ago I wrote to the Dremel folks to tell them (you) that crafters were using Dremels. At that time the only info about Dremel was using it on wood and metal projects for home and shop. I got a reply that said thank you for the input and will consider. That was the end it. I am 73 now, my Dremel is still buzzing, I’m still crafting, and now there are so many great Dremel craft ideas out there. I would love to have a new one.

    The reason is I love to craft , I make so many things and enjoy it so much , this is my leisure activity that keeps me from losing my mind after a hard weeks work.

  122. I craft in a variety of mediums. The Dremel tool has been on my wish list. It cuts, sands, etc. It would make crafting a dream!

  124. My Dremel fits perfectly in my hand, no numbness after hours of use but it was my grandmothers, we both got plenty of miles out of it & after DECADES of use its on its last legs. She assembled & designed dollhouses & I build them & their furnishings. She passed 3 years ago & the dremel is the most daily significant reminder of her.

  143. I’m currently redoing a spare bedroom as a “messy art” studio, to compliment my quilting studio in the adjacent bedroom.   154. Well, let’s see, I make Jewelry so could very much use it there, I pretty much do just about every kind of craft there is except knit. There are a number of projects I would love to do but don’t have the proper tool to do them with. Oh, and I too would trim my dogs nails with it. LOL I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and ulnar neuropathy surgery on both elbows so I don’t have the strength and stamina that I used to have, this would fix all my problems!   199. I absolutely LOVE Dremmel. I want this so badly because I have totally worn my other one out and now live on a very fixed income.   203. I world like to win the drummer because my husband won’t let me buy one. He states “I have one , if you need one you can just get it from the garage”. I knowing very well that he would get upset if I don’t bring back right away and in the right spot he would get upset. It is hard to do some of my crafts when I have to ask him to cut something or make hole for me.

Christmas Ornament Cross Stitch Patterns

The other day I shared some cross stitch patterns with ornaments on them, so this time around I wanted to share cross stitch patterns that you can use as ornaments. It would be fun to do a whole tree in your craft room with cross stitch ornaments, or just add a few to your tree or give them as gifts.

These little quilt inspired cross stitch patterns from Flamingo Toes look like ornaments and fit in 3-inch hoops, which are perfect for hanging on the tree or using to decorate a gift. I love the pastel colors on these but you can use more traditional Christmas colors if you like.

This cute Christmas tree from Lagodargetoshop uses a single color and fits in a 4-inch hoop, but you could make it smaller if you wanted by trimming the last ornaments and gifts from the sides, or just stitch the tree without any other embellishments. Either way it’s a cute addition to your holiday tree.

Stitched Modern has a super cute collection of retro Christmas ornament cross stitch patterns from designer Gera. This is a printed pattern that will be shipped to you. Each pattern is about 40 by 56 stitches, or 2.9 by 4 inches/7.4 by 10 cm on 14 count fabric. To work the whole set you’ll need 20 colors of floss.

These snowflake ornaments from Our Little Handmade Home are each about 2.5 inches/6.4 cm when stitched on 14 count fabric, and they use a single color of floss. They are pretty in red but you could also do white on a blue or black background, or whatever suits your other Christmas tree decorations!

From the description it sounds like this set of vintage style cross stitch characters is presented as one large chart, but the photo from Sampler Antique Stitch shows each of them stitched up as their own little ornament, so it gets included here. You’ll find Santa and snowmen in different poses in this cute collection.
