I want a glass studio to call my own. Sure I have a great studio to work in to make glass beads but what I really want is a large space filled with really cool equipment so I can totally branch out in my glass world. I want to be able to conduct classes and rent studio time to other glass workers. I also want to have a gallery space to show work. And most of all I want space to create larger glass pieces. Not too much to ask for eh? Well, it’s got me searching around the internet to see how some studios are set up. Inspiration perhaps. Curiousity for sure. Here are a couple of studios I’ve found that intrigue me. How about you?
The first is Ditore Glass Works in San Diego. This place is pretty darn cool!
It’s a nice space that looks really well organized.
The other place I was looking at is more of a hot shop for glass blowing but it’s still cool. Check out DC Glassworks in Washinghton DC. They offer classes and studio time and look like an interesting place to make glass projects.
